"We make our own fortunes and we call them fate" - Benjamin Disraeli
I like your crazy enviromentals really. And I love your posts in general. YOu are one of these guys making this place better.
But your figures and faces don't convince me. Look at Frazetta, Capullo, Huante to solve that and understand how they do that.
for example page 20 and 21, the alien:
Imagine that you are that freakin alien riding that thing, ready to slam and rip someone's fucking head off. Strike out while your eyes are wide open because you are sceaming, feeling the energy energy that you are about to release with all brutal force that nature has given you. Feel your pec tearing apart while striking out. Feel the cramp in your shoulders because you are pulling your arm back like a bowstring. You know what I mean?
Also, the zombie or creature is shown in profile. Do you want to show a dizzy zombie, who doesn't realise the danger of the current situation? If not, give yourself a hit. Turn him towards the guy who will kill him. Showing the face is not so important as showing the body language in this case.
You can do that better. Just think like you are fighting. Go crazy in your workroom for a moment.
the level of experimentation in this thread is crazykeep pushing it man!
finally back to 5 - well deserved![]()

why is red so prone to compression artefacts? are they there in all colours but less contrasty, or does red hate JPGing for a special reason? anyone know?

Really like this design. Does it split apart when passengers want to enter or do one or both panels slide upwards?

Hey. I haven't been here for a while. Your 3d renders are great as usual and painted stuff is getting better. I sense strong Syd Mead influences here.
Man I gotta say when I first went to your sketchbook I thought it was weird as fuck; really abstract to me and distasteful but now that I see it again...hell I don't know what I was thinking really great stuff man. All your 3d/render/manipulations/2d studies/mixed media are top notch. Keep on inspiring![]()
coolness, been awhile since I checked this out. I like this one lots.

totally agree vel,
will try
are last two pics part of animation look awesome, interesting vision of honda![]()
the Honda car is mind blowing
Syd Mead is a great inspiration, but I would definitely like to see your car in the streets like 20 years from now
that would turn the heads
great concept!
INSANE STUFF !
thanks for posting kind words in my sketcbook![]()
what an elegant design in that honda car...
those are the things that make me stop suddenly and seriously think about taking more time in work out an interesting and effective design. You´re a heavy inspiration for me, sir.
Ohh, this is gorgeous stuff. I like how the lighting is in the stuff on this page, it's so bright and natural, reminds me of a summer day.![]()
i want a honda like that!
Okay I'm going to say it. I don't understand why you put random 3d objects in your pictures. They jar. I'm not saying they're not well made, but they are total incongruous. The last post is the first one that shows them in their natural setting that I've seen.
methinks there is some mad scientism going on here ! amazing! (jarred in a good way!)

Tb0ne thats a good question... i thought maybe the window itself might pull back in some way impossible using current materials, but splitting would look really cool, let me think about it!
