Been distracted for too long... I want to get out of the slump I've been in since forever...
Would love to have any kind of illustration job someday... I don't care what it is or how much I get paid... I just want to keep drawing.
Isn't that everyone on this site though? XD

So anyway, I want to learn to digital paint properly... As well as study human / animal anatomy, lighting, and environments. Please feel free to critique and I won't cry too much C;



I would like to post at least one study a day... we'll see how long I can last.

Yep you got it. C: Just watched Black Swan last night so hopefully that'll be my next paint study. Wow that movie was sooo creepy and pretty at the same time.

Here are some sketch studies from yesterday. They are from Pose Maniacs Hands For Drawing. I need a lot more studies like this. I also did some 60 and 30 second gestures yesterday but they are all lame.
The girl is from my head.

And now for today some gestures that I did from pose maniacs. First two are 60 seconds and the rest are 30 seconds. I need a lot more practice... I have trouble keeping them from turning into scribble scrabble (you know, instead of ... shapes) in such short amount of time.
The second I was just trying to fill in the shapes that I saw, and the last is one I spent a bit more time on, about 5 mins - 10 mins.

I've been forcing myself to do one study of some kind every day lately... So today I decided to do a speed paint from a screenshot of the Black Swan Trailer.

Here is my "study" today, which really isn't a study at all. Thought I'd try my hand at a work from imagination after two portrait studies - so I'm making this weird orange girl. She is no where near done, but I had very little time to draw today because of work - so hopefully in the future I can finish her.
