    Image Management Archives

Im totally for the image archive of the website, but something really needs to changed.

I feel the image uploader should be able to resize the images because it is almost a guessing game to get the right size when resizing them through a computer.

(Unless i am mistaken and someone could explain how to do this)

And i understand why everything should be labeled but is it really necessary that every image i upload be categorized, because it just takes more time to upload when i have to fill out every field of information.

Thanks i hope im not alone on this...

Joseph, it is better to resize the images to exactly what you want before you upload them. There are requests to make the entering of info easier, but nothing has been implemented yet.

Velocity, after you upload your images, click on the paperclip icon again. A drop-down menu will appear with a list of your images. Select one and it will insert the appropriate code into your post. You can insert them in any order or reorder them.

The first image you attach to the first post in a thread will become the thread thumbnail. This will always be the thread thumbnail, no matter how you reorder the images in your thread. If you want a new thumbnail, you need to remove the attached images and reattach them with the desired image first.

Another question. I was wondering what is the unit the image attachment is referring to when it says max width and height.

Is there any way to edit attachments that you have already attached?

As in removing images I had already put up and replacing them with new images.

Click the "Edit" button in the lower right corner of your post. Hit "Go Advanced."
If you scroll down, there will be a "Manage Attachments" button. Click on it and you can delete images or upload new images.
