Bonjour!

I'm Marie, I'm a graphic design student and aspiring comic artist / illustrator. Nice to meet you! I have been holding a daily sketch blog for well over a month now and thought it would be about time to post here to get some crits to better structure my studying. My current goals are to improve my anatomy and to better my rendering techniques (i.e: learn some).

Please be brutal! thank you!!

hey, nice characters and colours. they're full of character. for some reason they feel very french, but i don't know what that means. lol.

what are your plans for the sketchbook?

Thank you! hahaha, maybe because I am being misleading with my français?

Well, like I said, I would very much like to improve on my anatomy, coloring and rendering; as you may have noticed a lot of my work is from imagination, and rendered in lines and flat colors. I'd like to push my boundaries and try doing more real-life studies and experiment with different techniques, such as painting and hatching and whatnot, and get some feedback on how I'm doing with that!

Speaking of which, here's a quick self-portrait, I'm still pretty new at digital painting, so by all means...

Ah-a, and two weeks later... I'll try to actually post weekly next times!!

I managed a few observational pieces like I had wanted, but no anatomical studies...
