Hey Everyone. I graduated from a fine arts illustration program (College of Visual Arts in Saint Paul) a couple years ago, and I've only finally began reaching out and doing freelance work for the past 6 months. Since my education had a fine arts basis "conceptual illustration" usually meant yawn-worthy visual puns for magazine editorials and the like. Along with that, digital ink and paint skills were not stressed at all, though that has changed since I went to school. I had one digital illustration class and it didn't connect with me at the time. Fortunately my fundamentals are good due to the numerous traditional drawing, painting, and illustration classes I took.

I'm here because I've finally picked up a wacom and started to practice more with the processes that are now industry standard. I am having fun, which is a good sign.

I also like printmaking, heraldry, and model kits. I'll be starting a sketchbook here in a minute, or you can check out my portfolio website. Hope to make some good friends here.
