Life studies..
Sorry for the horrendous photos - the paper is too big for a scanner.
Some are like, 5 mins, and some others are 10 I think...
I draw kind of slow.
This is something I've been working on for a bit...
I've uploaded my process so you can see how I did it - I think it's almost done but I need to render the birds a little better. Some parts are still kind of sloppy.
What do you think?

That's beautiful! I really like your above drawings as well (The pencil sketches)
wooo amzing works!I like the last one ,great idea!
Posts one, two and three are Superb. No critiques only compliments from me.
Some sketches for a project I'm working on ... some stuff isn't getting across, like the girl holding up the flowers. The idea is that the flowers are morphing in to insects, not that she's being a brat in mums garden.
Wow, nice start.

that bird one is really original
Man, that bird one is blowing my mind right now. I love it! Post more!
What are your goals with illustration?
This is where it's at right now. I think it could be getting overworked... I'm not sure how I feel about the fuzzyness of it. Maybe it's losing some of it's previous energy? And the face isn't as readable in this version, but I don't totally mind that.
I kind of would like to submit it to Spectrum or Communication Arts mag maybe.. but I might be getting ahead of myself.
I think it looks great! Your edges are tightening up and I still get a feeling of the whole piece rather than the individual parts.
Also, as someone with a drawer full of rejection letters from the top Sci-fi short fiction magazines and a couple of acceptance letters that weren't expected. I can say that the worst that can happen if you submit is a rejection... And you'll NEVER get an acceptance letter for an un-submitted piece of art.
Send it off!

I'm very impressed by your figures and drapery (especially the sketches with children) and the bird painting is just awesome. I prefer the warmth of the second last version though, those warm reds popping out looked delicious!
"And you'll NEVER get an acceptance letter for an un-submitted piece of art."
THIS! ^
Definitely submit that work of art if you feel like it's the right thing to do.
I do agree with you that the face has lost a little bit of definition, but it might be more of a surprise now for the viewer if they find it for themselves
Anyways, awesome stuff!
I'm going to submit it for something and see if I get anywhere with it!
For now, I think I'll consider this one done...
keep working! you have talent!

That bird face thing is one of the creepiest things I've ever seen. Very cool.
I know this is fan art but I just finished the series and it's pretty awesome.
