    Hello everyone,

Thanks for all your replies and good wishes. Even tho i didn't get much time to study as i planned, i managed to spare some time to read some books and practice my craft. Im not going for a long reply in this post. First of all, i have to visit your sketchbooks. Sorry for not visiting friends, last few months were really tough for me so, had to set my priorities away from arts and CA.

Anyways im back for good now and ready to pursue my artistic goals. Thanks agin for being with me, Ill definitely return the favor.

Im uploading some of the old drawings i scanned recently. Ill upload some of the figure drawings next week, probably. Hope you enjoy!

    Welcome back!
Nice faces despite the anatomy flaws, I so totally can't explain my thoughts and feelings about them, something that I like the subtle expressions and the design of the faces at least... And you know, when a picture isn't perfect but somewhat alive, making it better than a perfect lifeless doll when the artist wished to paint a _human_... Oh, whatever, I'm really bad with words now.

    Welcome back man!
I felt really euphoric when I saw you online, and I
have to say that your activity here puts us into a whole new
dimension. A new motivating force is back. A new friend who
is always ready to help and to team-play. Such a beautiful
day this is. Sorry that you had a rough time in the last couple
of months, I hope that you are back on track now and feeling
pretty much ok. You have been working behind the scene I can
see that and improvements can be felt in the air. You have practiced
head anatomy didn't you? And you have some new pencil skills hidden
under your sleeves? Such a fantastic renewal.
I have no wise words now, I am feeling
    happy and that's just enough.
Looking closely and waiting for your new activities.

welcome back (: in your last post, the last three portraits are stunning. on the first one i think maybe the forehead is a bit too small? but i like the shading a lot, it's very subtle.

Torsos and thighs are kinda okayish, sometimes impressive Other parts could be better. Watch how weight is distributed, some of your figures are definitely off balanced.
Keep practicing and you will be fine but you know it I'm sure.

I agree about the hands and feet. Don't be scared of them - they are just shapes as well.

Figures and shading has improved. More anatomy studies
you need for a more realistic look. We are not perfect, never
will be. So do not go for a flawless performance. Except
if you are playing Mortal Kombat.
The digital edition of your drawings are giving
them a neat old time look, I just like it.
Can you give me some brutality
    somewhere in the future?

    Arrow Starting Digital Painting SLOWLY!

    Hi everyone,

@Ramalooke - Yeah i get your point. Although i couldn't finish some of the hands and feet lessons, which made me unconfident, ill be doing a recap on anatomy soon. Thanks mate.

@shiNIN - hey thanks a lot mate. Yeah you're right about the weight distribution thing. I guess only way to remedy it to draw lots of figures like this. Anyway i have to catch up the stuff that i have forgotten in last three months. duh! wasted time, but had no choice

@Black Spot- Its good to have you back here yep ill definitely start drawing hands and feet. I'm pretty sure ill need loads of practice on that. Cheers!

@Snake- haha Good old MK. I still remember thumping the keyboard to get the Fatalities right xD. Anyways glad that you like my last stuff. About the brutality part... you're in luck mate. i got some concepts in my head already. some weapon and character designs. read more and you'll see...and hey! UPDATE YOUR SB!!! i need to see some new stuff!

Well, I just figured ill never be able to stay put while i have some spare time to draw. I just need to start working on my digital painting because i might get some freelance work in the future. I got two months to prepare so, here goes the baby steps. Just painted away in PS without worrying too much. just exploring..... Critiques and suggestions gonna save me now, so please let me hear em

Hey man, think your figures have improved a bit since your break =) Would maybe look at the other parts of the figure, for example faces or maybe hands, could start studying those abit, just a suggestion mind. Work on what you think will help you the most imho. =) Good luck with your next piece =)

Figure drawings and portraits are looking really great.

Something i've noticed in some of your figures though is that
you tend to draw their heads a tad too small and that kind of
    throws them off balance.

    Keep studying!

Hey man, I just ragged my ragdoll so I thought I
would hop by for a beer or two. This foggy environment just
does not do any good for my health, so I guess I will have to
move to Hawaii pretty soon. Good thing to hear that you will
have some freelance work, that means some nice money.
Nice money means some good time and plenty of alcohol.
Very sweet glowing stone. What is this? Is this Conan's grave
or some Kryptonite? If it's Conan's stony grave, then I expect
that he will show up pretty soon, breaking the block to pieces.
If it is Kryptonite, then Superman will suffer big time.
I like the stuff for sure, feed us with some more hard core
environments and we will all be satisfied.
Ah, and pls. do not send Gibson, cause I am
    hiding really smartly lately.

Hey there, your recent updates are looking really nice. You've made a ton of progress in your figures in the last year, in your portraits especially. I think it's great that you took some time away from CA to develop yourself and returned with a fresh perspective on the human figure; it looks like that time away had a great effect on your work. My only suggestion right now (besides the obvious - keep doing what you're doing because it's working! ) is that I think you should take some time to work specifically on hands when you get a chance. You seem to be avoiding them in a lot of your sketches and studies, which usually means that's a weak area for you. Don't be afraid to create some 'bad' drawings, even if they appear to be a step back for you; sometimes that's the only way to move forward. Keep up the good work, and keep posting!

On the baby steps you posted on the previous page, you need to still push the values a lot more. Don't be insipid, grab art by its throat and shake it hard to see what falls out.
