hey Randis =) Looks great. i love the shadowed face. Really nice colors there but shouldn't the reflected light be orange because of his shirt? Really my only critique =)

wow nice expression good mood, nice use of shading on his head, but his hands kinda dont work for me, a bit TOO small in my opinion, or maybe his head is too big

ps: I couldnt stop smiling with good childhood feelings after seeing how he did his blouse.

Your stuff always feels anime/manga influenced without being a slave to the cliches of the genre.

EDIT: wrong "your"... what a stupid mistake.

left hand needs some "tightening" and I don't know if you meant it to be but the hilt is under boys wrist, I think it would be better if it was under the palm. very nice one anyway.
    and thats all..

Extremely sweet! The colors of the face in the shadows are right on. Great, all around.

Be honest guys, no sweet talk.
What do you think about the blue glow in his face? Some other Forum told be that it is unrealistic and looks like a mistake...
I did not shade zhe face, i tried to give it volumen with some blue strokes. also i think it is a stylistic element.

I would like to know what you think

I think it looks fine. I agree its not entirely realistic but who cares when it looks good...

You might try and pick up the color from the shirt though and see if that works. I think it would since the shirt has such a glow feel to it. Afterall the shirt would probably reflect more of its local color in the shadow of that big hat, than the sky would.
If the boy was standing in, or near water, you could justify the bluish reflective color but he's not set in such a setting.

Foremost I would double check you lightsourcing. You light is not consistent allthrough the character. His right hand/arm should be more in shadow if the sun(?) is high above as indicated by the shadow of the hat. I would generally make the lightness decrease as you move down though the surfaces of the boy. Remember that the lightness of a surface (on a general note) is dependent on the angle of which it faces the lightsource.

Still a cool painting. Bluish reflective color or not....
