Here I am again, watching others sketchbooks instead of drawing. Nice wolfy. Keep it up!
@LtPlissken
Yeah you right, but when you have no motivation and you are not doing anything, it's like standing still, and we all now that this is a bad thing xD anyways thanks for encouragement, mostly appreciated
@devastacio
Thanks for a tip; those highlights thing is a bad habit of mine: P
@Sarmati
Hi there, I didn't know you are aroundyeah those dudes with metal arms were made for trojca, and yeah I’m playing with animation a little. Need it to work, hate it, it's a pain in the ass ;P.
@catukas
Thx for dropping inn, now you better start drawing
Small update, again ;P. I started to play with my tablet a little; here are some doodles I made.
hey there,
Please color other two characters as well. l would like to see em colored.
That womans arms are bit off eh? and not sure the left leg placement is correct either. You may want to check it. Nevertheless, interesting perspective.
Keep it up mate.

Ramalooke, are you participating in Spartans camp or something like this?

@sarmati
Nope, actually I didn't pay any attention to the activities section, yet. Why? ;>
Spartan Camp is love, that's why
Erm... well it gives me some motivation, that's sure. I would draw even less figures without it (I often avoid drawing them anyway because we may draw part of the human or animal body for it). I occassionally use poor SC topics as my blurb and psychiatric topic or spam it with faces of my own characters but the other participants are well-behavedThere are crits, at least from my dear leader, Anthis, who is very far from being a harsh critic and he sees and tells good points as well. Spartan Camp soothes my soul but maybe it's just me.
Small update is better than nothing, I merely did messy anatomy pencil drawings I can't put it my sb.
Faces are always welcomed and subject to my criticism
The first one has a dislocated neck and the colored man's mouth and chin is too much to our left and there are other slight issues but it's a nice direction and not bad overall, I'd love to see more![]()
@devastacio
Yeah, her arm seems to be broken or something, but about the leg placement; I can't see any error but if you saying that's something seems wrong it's probably true. About the coloring; usually I don't like to come back to stuff I did, but in this case I will make an exception, and I will color this two pieces.
@shiNIN
Yeah his chin is a bit off, you're rightand it's seems that you convinced me to participate in Spartan camp. Need to find some time, it's a loot of gestures to draw Oo.
@LtPlissken
Yeah in this case you're right and there will be time for a breakBut as for now I don't feel like I need such. It was a short motivation crisis, and it's seems that it's almost over. I simply needed to stop complaining and start painting
I'll be doing everyday small update to put myself in 'regularity mode', and it will be ok
thanks XD
Some figures, based on Michelangelo and Rubens paintings.
Yay! I'm glad if Spartan Camp gets bigger
Nice master studies. David got a slightly different, more "modern confident guy" pose and the others aren't perfect either of course but they are still not bad at all, I'd gladly look at such sketches any timeThe bottom left one is especially graceful
{why can't I just praise them simply I wonder...}
Hey those referenced work looks nice, however i do like some more details on them. Nevertheless good work.
More updates please![]()

@Bethany K.
Thanks, I'll attempt next week, for sure.
@shiNIN
Yeah I know I messed up them. I have problems with measure things when I'm drawing still nature, so no wonder that I have problems when it comes to this kind of things ;P.
@LtPlissken
It's over all right. Well I didn’t' make it with everyday updates, so I thing that update every few days is more reasonable. Thanks for dropping inn
@devastacio
I'll be doing more detailed piece soon. I need to check what my actual skill level is. I only need some free time. Maybe during the holiday break /hmm.
Today I have some posemaniacs plus some reference stuff. This figures are really fast sketches. Nothing fancy.
Posemaniacs is a great stuff. But lightning on those figures is terrible. So it can be use only for very basic gestures. It's a waste, in my opinion.
good work with the posemaniancs mate . I strongly suggest using the link that Bethany has provided. Even i dont like using 3d models as references, because after all they are not natural. Even i need to practice posing the skeleton using imagination as a test of knowledge, but couldnt do it due to other studies.
Anyways keep practicing mate because it seems they are paying off.![]()

You have a pretty well rounded sketchbook!
I think what would help you now is to do a lot of texture studies. At the moment everything is looking about the same smoothness.
Merry Christmas!

Nice sb! It's always tough to start a thread on CA, I can relate @_@ But if you stick with it then it will all be worth it in the end.
There are a few things that you need to work on including anatomy and composition but keep doing what you're doing and you'll improve in no time. Lots of studies from photos and life, studies from 'old masters', but don't forget to have fun, too. Nothing wrong with drawing stuff straight from your imagination. Just keep a balance between the two.
Keep posting!
Better late than never, right?
Hmmm, keep doing these figures, you're doing it wellThe biggest one has a very nice, graceful, natural feel... I love the left sitting one too. Yeah, posemaniacs isn't about lighting... But we all should use references of real people too, even if just photos.
I'm late with Christmas but I wish you a great New Year! I think it's very realistic to expect many nice drawings from you. I love to see people to get better and start to produce really cool stuff.
These last couple of figure studies are really good man!
Keep that up! Also try some quick gestures(just linework ) , that might help you to get the proportions and movement in the figure faster
Great work!
Heya, I see your figurative stuff is improving! Try to think, when you are working with tone, about shapes of value (light, middle values, or darks) and the edges that seperate those shapes (hard, firm, soft, lost). This will help with readability. Those figures were nice and I can see the drawing is getting better, now try to avoid splotchiness as a result of not keeping your lights and darks separate (no light in the dark should be lighter than the darkest tone in the light).
This is a great start! I love your character designs and your figure drawings are good.

Ah! Ramalooke i'm loving every little bit of your sketchbook! i would have to agree with ltplissken though about having another update =)

Welcome back! It was a while since my last update. I had many things to do so it was no time for any drawing. Thank you all for your support and usefull comments. I look forward to see more of them, especially that I'm starting (i hope) regular updates - twice a week. See you soon, cheers
Some random doodles, from my head and observation.
Hi,
just keep making those studies and sketches... you're on the right path.
Alex.
Open for commissions......just PM me.
There are some nice, fluid things happening here. I think you could benefit from practicing the way that cloth interacts with the body.
From that top left figure, it seems that you can't quite visualize the way the opening of the pants is affected by the mass of his legs.
That will be solved by research and practice, but you know that already
Go go go!
