    Vitrubius Sketchbook

Two years ago I discovered CA, since then you guys have made me recover the will to draw.
Have to say that my work runs from mediocrity to ilusion...sure you understand that feeling.
I usually work with graphite and ink and I´m learning to use photoshop.
I´ll show you here what doesn´t let me sleep at night.
Thanks to you all... for your work and the inspiration.

You've got some very nice work. I especially liked the sequential pages. The only crit I can give you is to practice more with drawing characters. I'll keep an eye on this sb.

    THANKS...

Thank you ... I´l try to maintain a good pace of work here...
Fantasyartist. Thank... The sequential pages are part of a work that i´m trying to develope...a zombie comic but I begin to have troubles with every thing.. with the figures.. my characters were like statues.. with the inking and I think that i´m a little bit lost in all the tools.
I´ve seen your sketch book... you draw like you breath. I have to develope my characters... Drawing from alive seems to work for you.
I show some of that work here.

Dreamingofbetterdays. Thank you. Here is some of that work that you liked. Ypu work very, very hard. I envy you.

    Some experiments at the end.

    Thanks

Nice environments, there are great demos on Concept design academy blog that are pretty useful.
    http://conceptdesignacad.blogspot.com/
Also some color studies of people and mech would be good.
    Keep the good work coming.

Hi and thanks for the kind words!
I'll try to write in spanish.. I want to go study to madrid next year so its a good way to practice! =)

You have some very creative and amazing posts. Your grids in your drawings are really amazing. Its cool to see your work before it goes into the paint program. Im loving all the sketches!

The panel with all the tanks and soldiers is really good. Most problems that I see in your characters are because of poor construction and/or basic proportions. Always doublecheck your proportions and be careful with the joint areas of your figures. Make sure all the parts fit correctly into each other. Use a simplified skeleton to check for correct placement if your in doubt. Keep up the great work!

    A work with watercolors

Joe 777k7: Thanks man... I am very interested in the use of the draw as a tool to tell stories, to create concepts... to explore.Sometimes the search is much.. much more interesting than the rest. Sometimes you find that the hand thinks on his own... or you find things in the very first sketches that you didn´t realize till you analize something. Great when it happens...

Fantasy Artist. Yes... Anatomy is my weakness and the pose more...I didn´t recieve any formation in that. A world!!! to catch up with. Thanks for the advice.

Heix33 As well, have to draw more from the original. The other weak point is the color... I draw allways from mind. ( Have learned this week in EOW how important is to documentate).

This is a watercolor studying a City made of Containers to make a Comic.

Gorgeous perspective studies! I could learn a lot from that stuff. xD
Your figures are looking a little stiff though. I would suggest lots and lots of 2-5 minutes gesture studies. Here's one of my favorite sites to do that if I can't find a figure drawing class to go to: http://www.pixelovely.com/tools/animalgesture.html

DanaT: I´ve seen your SB, you are good with the characters, study someone´s work you like with the perspective, maybe someone in the world of the comic.
I sincerly owe a lot to Tsutomu Nihei work, and Juan Gimenez, when I grow old I would like to be like them!!!
Joe777K7, I left a message in your SB, you work hard... I envy your strengh.
Qlotzan As well I passed for your SB, keep on working, you remind me a lot!!!

Another great update! YOur sense of perspective is amazing. I really like your gesture lines as well. I really need to start doing more gesture drawings and do some more ink stuff. Drawing in pen is alot of fun and full of excitement because you cant mess up or you have to find a way to fix your mistake lol

Fantastic sketchbook, you've got such a great skill for depth and environments. I envy your skill. I love your traditional work and I think your digital work lacks the same wonderness that your lines have. Don't loose them when it comes to the digital work, although I guess it depends on the look you're going for. All of your work is very striking and memorable, keep it up. I'll be back for more.
