New Very New Tube Dreams

Hello everyone, Im completely new to this forum and have no idea what im doing, but i thought i might try and post something and see if anyone responds haha. I would love some feedback on this. Its one of my first Paintings.

Looking pretty cool. Especially for one of your first tries. What program(s) did you use for it?
I like the wall texturing you created, but it goes all the way down the canvas through the fog with no other elements showing (as if the guy doesn't have any legs, etc). Was that on purpose?
I'm guessing those are beams of light coming from the machine? Why are they diamond shaped? They could be better arranged and rendered (beams going from small and focused to wider and blurred), and some light from the pink beams should be reflecting on the top of the scientist guy.

Its done in photoshop and i completely see what your saying i need to get rid of that texture on the fog, My original idea was to make the fog so thick that you couldn't see his legs but now i feel there should be some sort of silhouette of them at least. Im going to do some touch ups and repost. Thank you for the input it really helps
