qlotzan:
I uploaded what I had on my new computer at the moment that I thought was worth showing, more will come as times goes on in different styles, techniques and so on.
I know it doesn't feel finished yet, but at the moment when I made it, I got a bit tired of him and I am not quite sure what to do with him.
A bunch of silluettes and a work in progress sort of atleast concept piece inspired by turners art
another moodpicture something... A photoshop painting to put it simple.
A art deco/steampunk gun, an bunch of environmental mood thumbnails and a golem concept, all for schoolwork.
More schoolwork stuff
more schoolwork
Welcome and nice start with your sketchbook! :]
The robot you posted has great colouring and I like the detail. Also, the silhouettes are neat, but my favorite has to be the bottom one, in the center. That one shows potential to be turned into something really nifty!
Lastly, I really like the design on your tommygun. The golden figurine holding on to the gun is brilliant :] However, I noticed that the dark areas around the stock of the gun make it appear as if it's hovering in front of the frame, instead of being attached to it.
Other than that, you're off to a good start. :] Keep it up.
A steampunk gasmask, which caused me to realize that I need to practice painting metal. Apparently I did not draw enough of knights in shining armors when I was a kid.

A character concept inspired from a swedish old song, Horgalåten. It is about the devil acting as a fiddler and making people dance until they die.
Todays work. An continuation on the art deco/1920s schoolwork I have been doing.
I really like that Clockwork Robot and the Silhouette studies.
Lord Dubu:
Thanks!
Conceptart for an upcoming game we do as a schoolproject. Stuff from the same game will continue to drop in.
One more concept.
your schoolworks are simply amazing :]
In some of the pieces , I think shades of different hues might be better than monochromatic gradients.
(I like what you did on the first one)
puinkey:
Thanks! I will try using different hues in the shading, it might work out =)
Neat stuff! I really like the silhouettes in post 6, they got a great sense of rhythm in them, and the thumbnails in post 8 as the colors are quite good.
I'd suggest studying values a bit more, some of your drawings appear bit flat.
Patonki:
Thanks! Will study value some more in this week then!
Another Concept
1.3.6.11.
Since it is summer now and I have almost nothing to do at the moment I am going to try to put up something that I have drawn each day of the coming 10 weeks or so.
So first day of this trial I have drawn a vulcanic turtle and a cola jar light study.
2.4.6.11.
Second days studies. Between 5 and 30 minutes on each. First half is light and highlight studies on different materials and the second half consists of studies of portraits found on the internet.
Thanks for commenting on my sketchbook man!
Damn those studies on pervious post are pretty damn accurate, good stuff.
I like your painting style
Some nice sketches hereOne thing I suggest is putting more of your character images on either a black, white or plain grey background? I think a small gradient works too- but only a very subtle one. I think this will help make your images stand out more rather than having a purple background which may clash if there are lots of colours in the image.
Peace.
