Kerah that sounds awesome, I bet you had a great time

Danny_K thanks for your critique. It inspired me to try out this head construction thing from Loomis again. The ears always end up too high though when I try it :V

Nice sketchbook, and a ton of work! Holy crap 37 pages! So forgive me, I only looked at the first one and the last three...

You definitely have an awesome handle on hatching with ink. It doesn't seem to transfer to your painting as much. Perhaps you could try building values in a painting like you do your drawings before smoothing them out! Could be disastrous, but might be worth a little play!

Otherwise, I think your studies are great. But your stylized doodles and drawing are lacking a lot of oomph to them. Starting drawings with a strong line of action might be a good exercise to consider.

But definitely a lot of dedication and work in here! Great job.

@PeopleEveryday: No problem, 37 is a big amount indeeed XD Thanks, yeah hatching is totally different on traditional media than digital. I really hate digital hatching. It lacks the traditional feeling. Will try that line of direction, I tend to forget that. :V

So... It has been a while. Stuff has been heavy here. Wednesday my mother was sent to the hospital and it seemed like she almost died. But luckily didn't. Now she is still there. I wish she would come home again.

HarbingerofIllRepute Thanks man, last one is actually me just fleeing back to childhood. I used to love all series with talking animals in it. And I also had this little playhouse with a family of bunnies (those were white though).

    n1frit спасибо, мой брать!!

Yaay so my mother is home from the hospital again. Which is good, I guess. Now I can focus on my failed endavours again yaaay (or not) xD

It's amazing to see how many finished paintings you manage to make all the time, besides all those studies! You're so productive!
This last photostudy is really cool, not easy to paint expressions like that!

    *sigh*
So my mother is back in the hospital again. She has only been home for a day. I seriously hope they can fix that stuff. And I thought I would get a job, but the employer got some issues and I got no job so far. :<

    WHAT IS THIS? AN UPDATE?!

    : DDD
I'm really liking your Magnamon, however, it does seem pretty flat.
Pushing some of that into the background and emphasizing sharp light contrasts on the armor would help tremendously.
And as always, very nice photostudies :3

Liking the bridgman studies but make sure you are actually applying what he teaches for example try looking for the plans and breakups he uses by observing your own hand and drawing it. Then try and draw it afterwards from imagination.

    OH MY

this must be the longest time that I did not update my sketchbook 0_0

Я не была продуктивна, смотрела видео в Ютубе и учила по-русски... В Голландия мы были должны часы один час переместить. Это не приятно, потому что у меня сейчас один час меньше.
    В любом случае, вот обновления!

Lookin good in here. I love the Bridgeman stuff- his books are my fave for sure.

One suggestion- don't get too caught up drawing figures all the time. Clunky- perspective heavy stuff will really help your drawing skills a tonne. I never realized how much environment drawing would help my figures.
You should always try to draw the stuff you hate drawing. For me it was cars, I just couldn't wrap my head around them. Finally I just forced myself to draw a tonne of them, and now it's not really a big deal. Best part was how much it helped my life-drawing. People and cars are just curved forms in perspective, after all

    Keep it up
    Happy sketching.

Hey. Just randomly browsed around and found ur msg in my thread.
Many things seemed to change badly after CA sites updates. Some CA people and activities have lost somehow.

Anyway.. Nice to see u online again Sushy!
Your study of hand is going good. It s a good start for studying anatomy. I suggest to study body parts by parts weekly. So this week u study hand, follow by lower arm the coming week, then upper arm, whole arm movement and muscle, etc etc.

Refer to your question on my thread, I am now working as an illustrator in a toy company. The job is like drawing alot of toy concept sketches, and producing images for packaging or decorating purposes (like toy stickers, diecuts, images on trading cards). Well, abit off from my main goal to be a concept artist for movies and games..

Anyway, I spent quite amount of time on studying human and comic character anatomy. I found that comic character anatomy is very good for real human-anatomy study as well. They are drawn with simplified contour lines that really help defining shapes and forms. Hope these help!

    See ya again~

Rhubix Thanks! Yeah I have drawn cars for a while too, still cannot draw them well so maybe I should do more of them. Perspective still is a weak point, some environment drawing seems like a good idea indeed!

cerealist yeah those forum changes did not go so well it seems. Activity decreased a lot. Wow that sounds like a great job man XD wish I had something like that lol. Oh I tried avoiding studying from comic characters for years because I wanted to get rid of that manga style XD

    Robbinoks thankss
