I've been horribly unmotivated and everything i start seems to magnify that problem.
can't bring myself to work on these
Edit: urrgghh what a horrible way to begin a new page

I just came across your thread and I must say I really enjoy your work. I love the way you use colours and I like your choice of subjects.

Hioo Patonki! I love that wardog pic in the 3rd page. Especially nice mood and colors in that one. Your digis are definitely getting cleaner and more confident-looking. Maybe one thing that keeps reoccurring throughout the pages is that you finish your paintings halfway - after you have the colors down you seem to lose interest (a problem I have as well, lol). The thing with pushing it further is that it's hard. And hard things tend to teach us better than the easy ones. Maybe try that and see what happens?![]()

@rh˙nn
Thanks! I guess I got something right about colors when it's the compliment I hear the most C:
@Saara
Thank you! I really felt good about that picture when I started it.
Finishing halfway is definitely a problem. I lose interest due to seeing all the insurmountable mistakes I've made. I start hating my work really quick, and just want to finish it fast and start a new one. There might also be something wrong with the way I blend and use brushes. Trying to detail stuff still makes it look kinda dirty and rushed.
It's frustrating.
Case in point:

I tried polishing this, so I wouldn't call it finished too early.

And another life drawing

I think my computer has come to the end of it's life. It managed to BSoD while I was working on this, and it took hours to get it working properly again. The file was reverted to an earlier version or something, and most of my work was lost. Really frustrating.
I haven't been painting much lately due to being unmotivated, and this doesn't help one bit.
welp, my computer broke, can't paint.
here are a couple of shitty life drawings

Welp, computer is still broken. I tried painting with this laptop, and it was laggy as shit. At least I got to try corel painter.

Oh believe me, I've been following ctrlpaint since april. It's a great site![]()
Computer's still broken. I can't really pay to have it repaired, so I have to figure out what's wrong by myself. Really frustrating, as I already had to buy one HDD, which didn't seem to work.
Here is something else I did with the laggy ass laptop

I finally got some sort of computer. This can actually run PS!!

I see a lot of potential here!
Critique wise, the man in post 94 seems to have feminine/wide hips.
You have a really interesting rendering style. Cant wait to see more.

@irate fetus
Thanks! Yeah, life drawing class taught me what hips actually look like a bit.
@shambok
Can't really say I've settled on one style yet, but thanks!

Hey, nice! You have done a study of my favourite Sargent painting. Wonderfully done, I think you really captured the essence! Looking forward to more master studies!

@Baudolino
Thanks, that is good to hear. I'll try to push out more studies, like I promised myself.
But here is something completely different; animation
I was inspired when on a long bus ride, and sorta got an idea for an animated short movie, and got to test out flash quickly.
It's not finished, just some groundwork.
HERE
Repin study. Fucked up the face big time, but otherwise it's p.good!
