    Try Harders

    Hi!

I am now on my second attempt to refire my passion. Hopefully this will work. I would love to discover the fun in drawing all over again.

Some monochrome characters I sneaked in while at work, a recent coloured pencil sketch and some sketches while listening to Marshall Vandruff's Class.

    Hopefully more anatomy studies soon.

My dad commissioned a portrait from me for his colleague. It was something new to me

Also a bunch of quick doodles at work and a study of face planes

Weet wooo. Nice looking stuff you've got here. I'd love to see more of your character work. I especially like the style of your female faces.

Nice work! Good, loose grasp of anatomy, which is cool. Frees up the drawings.

Thank you for the encouragement =)

I need to regain some energy at the end of the work day to do studies. Always so exhausted after work and class.

Anyway here's some characters i did during class and work and some 30s gestures i did in the morning before going to work. And also an attempt at cg. I need to get out of my silky blending restraint.

Really like that painting in your last post: particularly the loose brushwork around the hands. Good energy there.

Thank you everyone =)! I should be doing more colours and studies.

Here are some Bammes eye study i did at work and some portraits from a portrait session yesterday at a museum.

Pardon the crappy scan cos printer and scanner companies nowadays are just plain ridiculous. Refusing to upgrade their drivers or refusing to scan when there is no ink.

Still very weak at it especially noses lips and general proportion.

Any good references for noses and lips to recommend?

completely ashamed at myself for missing 1 week. However that has passed and I'll continue to persevere.

I did some random studies of faces but I'm not gonna post them up since they're old and my scanners are still broken. So Ill only post what I just did a few minutes ago and yesterday night.

I roughly finished the sketch from before though unfortunately my colour choices leave much to be desired. And also still quite far from the realistic style that I am aiming for eventually.

2 Character sketches I did while watching bones a few minutes ago and a sketch for a cg of angels that I plan to put on my wall =) I love angels just cos they're pretty and i have one of jason chan's on my wall from an old ballistic books calender. I've also recently purchased rubin's anatomy book and hopefully studying that will help me improve on drawing guys.

Thank you all for your support~

Hit by fever so not much this week.

Attempting to paint more realistic faces. Some gestures at work and some digital hand study. Drew the rest on paper but I currently have no scanner

    Not much this round =(
