Thx and congratz to the first answer.
Next cow is simple slimy and I decided to go the cute way, since I have had enough big and dangerous things, these last rounds.
Wow, I really love your monster designs especially this last set with the small lizards. I'm currently trying to work through my environment troubles in the same way so I love seeing successful thumbnails.
I feel like the fluidity of your figures is getting lost in the translation to the finished pieces. It's like your sketches are in a completely different style. I'd really love to see some more finished monster paintings from your digital thumbnails in post 1.
I can't wait to see more. Keep posting.
Well, lines and colour pics are totally different in appearence and effect.
Sketches are often much more dynamic, because there is more to interpret for the eye. When you add colour, shadows and so on you define a lot more than in the sketch.
By the way, right now I havent found my style of colouring, yet.
My biggest minus is in the composition part, I think.
I have a lot of trouble to plan a picture properly.
It develops in the work progress, but I cannot start a picture and know how it's going to look at the end which is kind of unprofessional, I must admit.![]()
some great imagination. I think some foundation perspective, color, and anatomy studies could push your work further.
your pencil sketch style is good but digital painting can be betterkeep on study
Thx, I think Im gonna practise lightning and colours by some photographs, for the rough basics.
My soul says, that's wrong, do it better and my brain says, I dont know how. ^^°
cow#188 finished, cause of lack of time.
The idea part worked out better than before but I still messed up / skipped the composition part.![]()
*edit*
Some older stuff...

Wow, it's been a while since I last found the time to come here, but now I'm finally done studying and I want to work on whatever comes to my mind. ^^
So, let's post some stuff and see what happens.
SInce I had my diploma exhibition, I definetely wanted to work over my blog and have some kind of corporate ID, business cards and stuff.
I came up with a cute little guy, I will use as a mascot, for as long as I see it fitting.
I call it Illumon, but if you have a better idea, lemme hear it. ^^
The last cute animal and this in cave are my favorite. Wow this in the cave is really freaked![]()
Hey, that was quick.
I wasnt even done editing the old stuff. ^^
So, finally, here's some "newer" stuff.
It's still not up to date, but I have to post some of what happened in the missed time.
This one was printed in the german magazine "geo-mini" and it's a quiz page for children.
More stuff to come in the next days, I'll take some time uploading. ^^
Here are two more works I did a while ago.
They are part of a book about our solar system.
Acrylics on DIN A3 format.
Not sketchy at all, but who cares. ^^
And another picture about our solar system.
Again acrylics onj A3.
And some pages from my diploma project.
A childrens book, as you can see.
Done via Photoshop.
These are absolutely beautiful! I love the children's book images. Very inspirational!

Thx, I'm glad you like it.
Here are some sketches I did in the last week.
Hands...my arch enemy!
The battle is furious and still goes on, but the forces of the white hand know that defeat is not an option.
Smarty me used references for the left panel and tried to do some with just one first look at it again on the second panel.
Oh, right, it's pen of course.
Aaaaand another handy study.
After watching one of C.A.s streams about colour, I had this neat urge to draw something. Here's what happened to a bunch of colour in photoshop.

After I worked on my hand-drawings, I started digging through some Loomis stuff, wich lead me to explicit problems on my faces.
Here's a sheet I did working with planes on heads and a lightsource.
(with ref)
You are very skilled at drawing various things! I really love your more fun drawings and how they use such nice bright colors![]()
Thx, I'm glad you like it and while we are at it...
here's some more.
It's not birds, but one piece I did for the Blizzard account guardian contest.
It didnt win though.
Here's my second entry for Blizzard's Accountguardian contest: First prize.
Hi folks, I just noticed I forgot to upload my stuff here. ^^
So here's something new, fitting to my "loverbirds". (posted earlier)
A little birdy in the style of the 50ies.
I'm really enjoying the variety of styles you're able to produce. From the super cartoony, light-hearted blizz account guardians to the uber scary cave monster... from detailed renders like your COW entries to clear, simple shapes as in this bird you just posted. It all looks great! Keep up the good work!
I actually liked the first account guardian more.. matter of taste I guess
Thx, Im glad you like it, although the variety of style makes it harder for me to find my way...so to speak.
Hey, here's anotherone !
And the next bird. this one's quite different. ^^
