Wonderful renderings, great confidence in the gestures and your indications, particularly those 1min. poses!

This last two are awesome, the witch and the cowboy,
when you free your hand and let the lines flow is certainly superb

Dude, fantastic work. Your characters are all really well-drawn and expressive, and I love your use of color. Your painted stuff has a really great sense of mood to it (any tips on how you learned to use color like that?)

Also, I really enjoy your gesture drawings. They have a great energy to them, and the the shading on them looks great. What medium do you use for most of them? (In the ones from February 12 and 23, for example).

Thanks a lot Meps! THe gestures are mostly Conte on 18x24 newsprint, the colors man, just study light from life, and other art. Always be curious and try to figure out why something looks the way it does by observing. The more you do it the better you get at it. If you want some crits send me a pm.

    Warmup painting this morning!

Beautiful work here! I love your inks and bright colors and basically everything ever. Your pictures are so rich with life.

In the bg for your group film, is that... a dramatically lit dentist's chair? I'm scared.. o.o

hi, awesome design in here, we instantly recognize the animator lines.. really like your golf man pieces, my crits would be on backgrounds,
they are often a bit flat, try to play with different values to create depth, here you often use 100% black for dark moods, everywere in the picture,
so it doesn't help (the one from 13 march for example), anyway solid stuff, keep sharing

Hey Bouroune Thanks for the compliments and the critique, but I have to say that I rarely use 100% black and definitely not on the piece from the 13th...Check your monitor calibration though, are you using a mac? their screens are often darker by default. Unless you mean the one from the 12th? Yes there is a lot of black in that one but check this out and tell me that im losing depth

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Kmz_p...ure=plpp_video

Recently I havnt been posting much finished work here but check out my portfolio to see some of the finished backgrounds.

Sorry dude I usually dont get so defensive when being critiqued but Ive spent a lot of time studying tonals and I feel I know pretty well when and when not to use my pure blacks and pure whites.

BUT I will keep that in mind next time I do a bg
