first real environment concept, would love some constructive feedback.

Is that lava flowing out onto snowy mountains?? Aside from being mind blowing, I think that would also call for lots and lots of steam.
The left side of the piece looks pretty nice so far, but I'm not liking the right side so much. The mountain looks too perfectly triangular and it almost reminds me of aluminum foil. I'd try to mimic more of how you rendered the mountains on the left but on a larger scale to give depth to the image. I think that would also work out by giving a bit clearer/closer focus on your little dude as he broodingly gazes towards the distant castle.

Yeah, look at some rocks for this.

Also- the two mountains are competing with each other right now. Decide which one is bigger and make it bigger. Create a visual hierarchy.
