    Is my work TAD acceptance-worthy?

Like every other aspiring artists, TAD is the ideal study area from what I can see in these forums. Of course, I really want(stress on the really) to be accepted for next year. I know that there's hundreds of talented people who apply to TAD every year, and even though I've only started taking my artwork practice seriously for merely a year and a half, my main goal as of now is to be able to attend a TAD POD.

I'll be applying for next year june, and even though I'll improve by the time I sent my portoflio over there I want to know where I stand as of now, and I want to know if my work is acceptance worthy. I want nothing but the absolute truth and honesty so that I don't screw over this chance, please!

I'll post the link to my sketchbook here; but nevermind the older posts. My latest post contains the level of work that im onto as of now. all the other posts before that were my pieces from around march. Also, please view them in 50% as the quality gets downgraded when have to make them so much smaller so that I can post them.

Any criticism is welcome!(and actually wanted too )

    Hey, Sandy.
Potential students aren't excluded based on skill. The quality of your portfolio only affects scholarships. If you can make the payment, you get in. I'm a full time student right now, and I can tell you that there is a wide range of experience and skill amongst the student body.
I'm sure the PODs would be happy to have you, too. I think they're all looking for more students, and there will be more locations by the time you apply.
Until you join, keep posting on these forums. Stay connected to the community and train intelligently, not just hard. Take complete advantage of every resource you can get your hands on and drain every bit of knowledge from them. Make sure your practice is focused and helps you assimilate that knowledge until it becomes second nature. I had a quick look over your work, and it looks to me like your work could be much improved by a clearer understanding of form and the properties of light hitting form (Light family/ Massed light, Shadow family/ Massed shadow, core shadow, halftone, etc.). I'm sure you can find plenty of information on it, probably much of it on this very site. I'm not sure what's in the download CA has called "The Mystery of Form", but I've never bought anything from here that isn't quality. Also, if you want to practice composition, I recommend buying Jason Manley's composition download and doing lots of small, quick thumbnails using 2 or 3 values only, with no detail, and focusing on shape and value. They can even be abstract. Knowing how to communicate with shape and value is the most important thing in visual art. It is the essence of picture making.
Good luck and be smart with your journey. I'm sure TAD will do wonders for you when you get here.

Thanks for the heads up; now that i'm back on track with posting on this forum, I'll start purchasing all necesarry material via the download section. I'll definitely get Mr. Manley's composition guide now that you recommend it, and I'll most definitely work like crazy for a scholarship (even just a quarter scholarship will do).

I guess I'll still have to work a bit more to get accepted though. I mean, there's 4000 other students applying this year XD
