So I havent updated in like a week D:
I was working so many closing shifts at work and got so busy, I barely had time to think.
My art buzz had died down for a little bit there.. but I'm back on my feet ! Rawr!!

    >

Here was a super quick study from a photo just to get something out.. more to come! I'm about to hit my sketchbook hard with some pens and pencils

Ooh, that jar's well done. If you do any more of those it would be interesting to see them against a darker background.

Can't wait to see what you post!

I've done a ton of sketchbook pages.. but it's really annoying to go through the process in the attachment manager.
Here they are on my CGHUB sketchbook if anyone's interested to see what I've been up to. Not anything fun just proportion practice

And here's some environment practice... I bought whit brachna's tutorial on masks from CA since they have that awesome sale going on..
I pretty much did my own version of what he did in the tut. It was a learning experience.. the environment feels really simplistic and blah but I just gotta keep at it =P

I like the picture you're doing for your cousin and look forward to the progress.

On the apple and oranges, there's not much in the way of interaction of the colours, which makes them separate. They should throw hues at each other.

    SO OMG I'M SUCH A FAIL ._.
Things got out of hand the past couple weeks, and I let it affect my work. I haven't drawn anything, or done any studies, and I can tell it's had its toll.

From now on, I don't care, I'm setting goals for myself everyday, and I won't go to sleep until they're done.....

This is going to be for a very cranky Sonia x.x but I'll be an accomplished cranky Sonia. I sleep too much anyways.. I'll sleep when I'm dead! >.<

Domaz - thanks! And yea that was just a little screw around thing, I won't be continuing on it.

BlackSpot - I definitely see what you mean.. thanks so much for dropping by!

teapo - yea those RRs are really spontaneous and interesting lol. Love seeing everyone's results at the end.

    Rotor - thanks man !

    Slence - thank you! I'll try !

Here's what I've managed to do the past week.. an illustration and some quick study doodles from this morning. God I feel like such fail x_x ... Definitely tons more to come to make up for the past month of blah.

awesome! good improvement. I think your lighting needs some work, just think of it like perspective using the light source as a vanishing point. Remember your cast shadows! I'm not seeing a lot of them. Other than that, keep it up!

The last one has lots of life to it. A short break occasionally won't hurt as long as it doen't become a habit.

Just did an image dump on cghub > http:///forum/showthread.php?t=4901&page=5

I wish that CA's attachment manager was kinda like theirs where I don't have to fill in like 6 things to upload each thing.

Some hand sketches done yesterday in a new sketchbook I got. Flower is a hibiscus from Longwood Gardens on Easter, and the other two are banana and coffee mug earrings done with sculpey and then painted on.
