    Roger - Thank ya !

Ludic - Majority of them are from a book

Quickie crappy stapler.. couldn't really grasp any nice colors that were reflecting on it.. but I kinda rushed it, again. =/ I need to just force myself to complete my still lifes..

Amazing sketches! Great sense of line, no crit there. But your digital painting skills are still lagging behind your actual skills, you just need to practice a bit more. Stapler color is not bad, I think a bigger problem is the lines. With man-made objects (like cars, stapler, etc) you need super straight edges for it to be believable and realistic. Make sure to keep highlights very clean, tiny/thin (making thick big highlights is a mistake many people make when starting digital art - I was one of them) thin highlights and neat edges will REALLY do a lot for these types of paintings, try it out

PS Also just curious, I know you said 'quickie' but exactly how long are you spending on these?
Hey you! Yes, you! Crit me!

Sometime you need to be bolder with your colour choices digitally - they can always be damped down later. See you can go back to an object to give it more polish - staplers don't run away.

Thank you everyone so much for the advice and support
I've been very lame and not posted for a while, I have two jobs in retail and am out of the house 55+ hours a week. I've been upset that I've been away from painting and the community for so long, so I'm trying to post atleast a couple times a week, and paint everyday whether I post or not.

Here are two self portrait's.. I haven't done any in months, and it shows.. so back to practicing.

Drew some cars, then started to create a female character inspired from a car motor. Then onto some studies.

Great studies Sonia, nice to see that you really go into different subjects. Like the cars, I just realized how much I suck at those when watching your sketches, really something I also should practice. One thing among the many, of course.

I like your kinda loose style especially in sketching, keep it up girl!

    Look who's back!
Much improvement in the sketches, and I can deffinately recommend doing more of the carmotor-chick kind of stuff as you have to put the technical design to imaginative use.
    Keep it up.

Roger - Thanks dude!.. and yea anytime !

Vablo - Yea at first sketching cars was a little intimidating but I actually really like it! I'm definitely going to do some more of those, hopefully it helps with my imagination work when it comes to bots and all that. Thanks for droppin by, I haven't talked to ya in forever

Rotor - Hey you! And yea that's definitely the plan. My technical imaginative work is really weak so hope this helps! Thanks !

Some more from the sketchbook, brushing up on my human figure skills with some bridgman and I checked out a book of leonardo da vinci's sketches from my local library. Awesome stuff.

I've returned to uploading here on CA after another long hiatus. I'm finally going to be attending college with ample of time I've made in my schedule for my sketching and painting, so I can't wait to get back into it and checking out the forums.

ALSO can I say how much I FRIGGIN LOVE this new uploader !! It's SO much better than the last one, which was such a hassle for the simplest updates. Definitely makes keeping this up-to-date more appealing.

Here's just a couple of things that I've done recently that I have on my comp.. more to come for sure Some sketches from my sketchbook and the top is an illustration I did for my lil niece's bedroom as a xmas gift.

I want to be realistic and post once every other day, definitely at least once every three days.

    @Elias & Gwun - Thanks!

Just some more figure studies.. and I started doing a little brainstorming for an idea I had for a character. A bride from an insect worshiping tribe/society type of thing.

AAAAAHHHH I've had my first week in college and it's been crazy ~! Five classes can really tie a girl up. Here's just two little things from my sketchbook that I snapped pics of. Another sketch of my insect bride lady and some blind contour drawings. I love doing those so much, it really loosens me up. I'll be posting up some more later this evening now that I finally repaired the scanner Woot. No more cell phone pics!

Did some digital stuff - one is a little girly forest sprite thing.. and the other is a WIP of a male forest sprite/inhabitant, but this time I'm adding in a background. Please give me any constructive crits. I need to improve ! D:
