Hammer Designs...WITH image attached

Hey CA,

I wanted to post hammer designs I've recently finished with 1 or 2 more to go. I want a hierarchy in them: can anyone see it? I can see it with my steel hammer compared to my onyx, but can anyone notice an evolution from my stone hammer to the onyx hammer? Just wanted to know. Thanks!

Aside from the obvious mutual quality of being a hammer they share no common features that might pick them out as improved versions of each preceding hammer. The cracks on the stone hammer follow no discernible pattern according to damage or impact and are too small and meandering. The lighting on the gems is flawed in comparison to the light cast elsewhere. The end-haft ornamentation has flawed perspective.

The red grip on the haft of the Onyx hammer has major perspective issues. Otherwise that particular hammer seems okay, barring a personal quibble with the ornamentation on the end of the haft, which seems aesthetically superfluous.

The steel hammer has major lighting issues - reflective metal surfaces should have high contrast and clearly defined light sources. The whole thing's perspective is skew-whiff. The haft grip has flawed lighting and perspective. The end haft ornamentation is overly large and would make hefting this weapon nigh on impossible.

Overall you need to work on perspective, harder rendering, light sources and metallics.
