Lang Oulk's Necronomicon. Come on in.

This is a journey of mine. Basically this will force me to draw which is what I want. Drop me a reply and I'll be sure to return the favor!

    -Traveler, Thanks! and will do
    -ColorExcursion, Thank you very much!

So, here is some more for today, I'll post more tomorrow. Sorry for the image quality, I'm still getting used to resizing my images and all that jazz. I'll most likely go back and render these when my attention span comes back.

Sorry for the double post, but I am quite excited about this sketchbook thing, so
just to show that I do indeed practice some anatomy, but I definitely need to do much, much more.
(my scanner doesn't like to pick up anything that isn't insanely dark...so sorry for the light images..i'll work on it, I promise)

-theUNKOWNsketcher, thank you very much for the kind words ! and I sure will !

Well, I slept in far too long today and I don't have much to show so far from today. I'm going to try and give Photoshop a try for the next few hours and see what I can do, I've never really tried it before but we will see!

Can I just say that I want a piece of your brain? In the last sketch..I'll call him party hat man..Are those giant spider fangs? Really enjoy your contrast with pencil and how you render -subscribed- And I've noticed in your imaginary sketches you tend to shy away from legs, maybe you should do some leg studies

hi lang, very nice sketchbook! i admire your creativity, haha.
i would suggest for you to be more mindful of values, try hatching along the forms instead of just straight hatching, it seems to me that you sometimes shift back to that when you're doing stuff from imagination. oh and keep working those figures! looking sweet, good luck

-zzyzx, Hey thanks for the kind words ! And yeah, you're right, most of the time when I do stuff from my imagination I don't think all too much about what it is i'm doing, i'll definitely work on that though, thanks!

So today started off to a bad start, my shoulder was in so much pain i found it hard to draw anything, but i'm getting it checked out, and in the mean time...why not draw ?

I'm liking some of your concepts. I think that if you study form a little bit more, your drawings will gradually improve.

Not too much to show right now, planned on doing bridgeman all day, but ended up calling 911 for my mom and had to go to the ER with her for the day, but this is what I got done in the last hour or so...no worries, she's ok

Glad she is alright :] On these studies, do you first do a light line and then make it dark? Or are these your first lines? They're so smoothhhhhh

nice job with those hand studies lang, just don't forget to apply them right after studying! at least in my case, if i don't apply studies as soon as possible i tend to forget and revert back to old habits..

-ColorExcursion, Some are just solid lines, but the lighter layer you're seeing is just a quick sketch to get everything into proportion, and it makes ya draw it twice

-zzyzx, yeah totally! i'll try to think of something, it's much easier to do with larger muscle groups lol

Busy day, my girlfriend got back from Canada so that happened, not too much to show for it :/ just some studies, but tomorrow it's drawings alllll day long!

I enjoyed looking at your sketches. I think some of your work is incredibly imaginative. How long have you been drawing?

    Again, nice work .
