Hey, cool work in here, I hear you're buddies with sloane/strayheadache. I remeber browsing though this sketchbook a few weeks before she told me about the comic work you two were doing. Neat stuff i say. Hopefully sometime i can do a pinup for you guys or something along those lines.
Anyway, like i was saying, i really dig your work, great construction and beautiful lines. Your colored work is especially nice. My only critique right now is that sometimes your characters proportions seem a bit off, mainly the head to body ratio seems off at times, just keep an eye on your underdrawing and fix up the proportions before you go into inking. Also, a little nitpick on that big character sheet up there, watch those feet, some of them have lost toes and others whole feet when the legs overlap. Other than that things look good.

thanks for the comments guys! and austen, i appreciate the critique! i've always had a tendency to draw large heads. ]; i think it's something about the way i see things in general, or possibly because i draw on a flat plane, because i always do my underdrawings properly and then second guess myself when i'm doing my over drawing. D8 something to work on, alas. and me and sloane would ADORE having a masch! pinup from you! oh my god!
an update on the newest piece. for the record those aren't klingon weapons like my boyfriend asserts. >>;; they're trophies collected from ANGRY CANNIBALISTIC CYBORGS he's killed. LOL i have to make them look more bound together, but i just wanted to get the basic shape and idea down.

i apparently also went through a phase in drawing where all hands were required to be throwing gang signs (see last upload) wtf.

uh. more gay robots. starting pencils for a painting. and yeah, there's definitely disembodied robot hands coming out the super sketchy water and grabbing that dude's junk. happens all the time. needs to adjust the more human looking one's leg, raise his ass (seems as though i dropped his pelvis without considering his hipbone? i don't even know). and yanno. align his abdomen parts.

You've got interesting and confident style, though sometimes you miss some anatomy issues.You somehow close to the anime style, but rendering in post 37 is stunning! However some other rendering looks way to flat. So my advice would be paying attention to variety of tones.
Anyway, keep going, you're doing great, but we all should reach for greatest!

seraph: hey thanks for the reply! i was super into anime and manga when i was a child growing up in taiwan, but i kinda grew out of it-- these days, i have very little interest in anime and manga (except for hiroaki samura. he's a fucking pimp.), but i suppose the influence stuck with me through my studies. i would by no means consider myself an anime or manga artist though. xD painting for me is always a learning experience even though i've been doing it for 7 or 8 years now. similarly, my anatomy (despite my knowledge) comes and goes. i have a very strange ideal body type, i'm afraid, and i'm trying to train it out.thank you for the advice, and i'll try to work on my tonal range.
