DSG 1569: Creature • NON-HUMANESQUE ALIEN EXPRESSION COMPARISON PICS

    .

[ Although social in nature, this creature is not human looking, so most or all of its expressions will not be immediately recognizable to the untrained observer... ]

[ ...That is where you come in. ]

[ Show us the same creature expressing a variety of emotions and intents through its facial and/or body posturing cues. ]

[ For the purpose of better understanding, you should comparably compose your comparison pics. ]

[ *EDIT: Oh, and you should maybe label each of them so we know what the thing is communicating/feeling* ]

Quick go at this, seemed to end up as the monsterous offspring of a krogan and a hoatzin. Emotional nuance is projected by movement of the blue feathers, while general emotions are told by other features.

Umm, I know there's no comparison here, but I got carried away, enjoyed painting it so much that I had to make it complete. Oops! Well, I will let you use the imagination for that. Here's a hint, the glowing color is part of it.

    (Agitated)

No comparison, considering it crashed on me after this drawing. xD

The word ‘anarchy’ comes from the ancient Greek αναρχία in which αν meant ‘without’ and αρχία meant first a military ‘leader’ and then ‘ruler’. Anarchist society is one ‘without rulers’: a classless, non-hierarchical society.

Very quick and not altogether successful but meh!

    My aims and possible results:

(1 - standard alien for comparison)
2 - a good laugh (but from another angle... he could be choking?)
3 - surprise (but from another angle... calling out with enthusiasm?)
4 - conniving/plotting (but from yet that other angle again... wise old guy/cool dude?)

Back to the drawing board aye...
    Cheers~

    Top left: roqwaq
    top right: fubaggow
    bottom left: gowfutt
    bottom right: embarrassed

I have suffered the same fate as Dm7. Got way off topic. Anywhoozle, I'll get around to
    making different expressions...somehow.

Great job lkjhgfdsa! That looks so amazing and unique.

    Edit: More expressions.

    Top: Normal/happyish?
    Bottom Left: Enraged
    Bottom Right: Sympathetic/Compassionate

Hamsta - nice work man, I went down the same road as you
Dm7 - interesting creature! Id love to see its expressions
I think for the most part other entries could have been more non humanesque, I looking forward to see what people came up with
To make sure I wasnt tempted to break the brief I gave my creature no face haha!

    Malakuko I like yours too.

The curious one works especially well. The anatomy of the alien works better as it seems to have a solid bone structure, while the other poses are more rubbery.
I also like the color, and how my eye goes to the acorn, which is fun little surprise to find. The angry pose also has an appealing color choice.
