I am finally making a sketchbook post.

I've been lurking the CA forums for two years, and finally decided to put up a sketchbook. Warning: there's gonna be some total crap in here, but my fiance says that i should get the stuff i throw away & delete C&C'd, and it sounds like a decent idea. so please fire away!

its ok if you suck at painting in PS, try painting from a photograph with it before doing stuff from your head.

and My only suggestion would be to work on anatomy. Learn from anatomy books and stuff and copy the stuff in them. Same thing for faces and such.

Anyways keep drawing and make it fun. Its a nice thing to get into.
My observational skills may be great but i said nothing about my drawing skills

    mahran: thanks very much!

my57: C&C much appreciated; will keep pounding away at it!

that being said, scrapped my original idea for the spiderman contest; going in a different direction. Then onto COW & CHOW try-outs!

this is initial sketch, ( post thumbs ) now for blocking etc.

Nice SB. You should try to avoid using black and white when painting. Try to think of what colors are in the shadows and in the light. On a sunny day the light from the sun is pretty neutral or slightly warm, and the shadows will be a cool blue because of the sky. And don't forget to put some cast shadows in there.
