Nice update.
I can see that you have improved a lot.
Thanks Snippet!
I´ve been practicing a lot at work but I don´t have so much sketches to post, I kinda left CA for Cghub, but there are still a lot of interesting threads around..
Thanks Corvy!

latest card Im working on

quick update
![]()
a little update, 3 random images and a big evolution at the monks
![]()
blocking colors, got a little ahead to the shadows
![]()
I changed the lighting a little based on my newer reference, i´m happy with the skin evolution but I realised later that his left side doesn´t match pretty much his left side!
Idk how much beard he´ll have. Its was kinda hiding his smile.

a little update, decided to go with a small beard to show better his smile. The only thing I would change so far is the old man´s nose (too square?) and fatten a little his right cheek I´m still deciding the color for the guy at the fg.

last update before the final version! At Photoshop the shadows were much darker... but I finished the bkg, I´m happy coz its way simpler than I normally do, I always go deep in details.
I just want to finish the guy´s head (gonna paint him smiling)

A new page! Which background would you choose?
![]()
here´s a update! most ppl chose the 1st one. So I went with it!

Really like the progress on that latest one, it's already come a very long way since the first drawing, and I love how the woman's face is looking.
Some of your skintones - the monk, the martial arts guys - look a bit plasticky. I think it's partially the strong shine compared with the strong orange colour; you could use a bit more colour variation.
Thanks for stopping by Revidescent! i've changed her face but other people talked they liked it too!
Thanks for the feedback on the skin! More practice is on the way!![]()

New page!
I'm trying to convey a medieval funeral. I know they weren't buried with armor
but I wanted to be more interering with the armour reflectin the candles!
critiques are welcome!
huge update! Almost done, I struggled a lot with the colors but I´m happy atm

Finally finished the knight!
And now I switched back to the princess/peasant scene!
![]()
I started framing the characters, I´m kinda happy with the composition, I think my biggest weakness is composition and I tend to go too much to the details and add a lot of things to compete with the main theme. Learning a lot with Bourguereau

Really great the way you did the skin coloring on the hands, any advice to have that kind of detail? the amor on the knight funeral it's also great.
Thanks Izaya!
I took a photo of my parents! To go deeper on details you have to have the best references, photo is the fastest way, but if you starting to learn how to draw/paint, it´s important to learn anatomy too..
For the color, I use Deviant Nep skin swatch, just google it and you´ll find her deviant art pretty easy! Good luck!
Thanks for the knight! I got some nice feedback and I´ll try to simplify some things.. they told me that there are too many shiny spots..
nice work
Thanks Aryeh!
It´s been 3 awesome months travelling, but now is time to get things on track! New home, new city. Just a random guy before big things to come!

You have a nice way of polishing up your renders, I like it.
