Really cool character concepts! I think the skintones on all of them look a bit weird though, the shadows being so washed out. I recommend doing a study or two from photos with good lighting.

I like the outfit design on all of them mostly. Not sure about the plastic look of the green and white armor and the weird sleeve on the last one but I like the fact that the cloths aren't cut in an ordinary way and seems like you've put a lot of thought on them. As for poses, to nitpick, the monk one seems to be standing on his toes (the perspective on the feet looks more extreme than on the rest of the figure). The middle one's pose looks awkward probably on purpose but I think the upper arm of the staff hand is too short which makes it look even more awkward. Good poses though, I like the facts that they're different and show personality. On the last one, nice patterns but the way the strap is whirling like there's no gravity looks weird and the weight of the things hanging from his hood too should pull them more straight, at least on the upper/middle part.

Smooth rendering though and these paintings definitely show improvement!

    Keep it up!

Hey, nice sketchbook. I especially like your latest character designs. the costumes and presentation are great. Only criticism that I have is with the anatomy, but that's just a matter of practice. : )

That armored jeep is looking great, the perspective on it is solid. I like the texture in your landscape too. I think if you defined the form more it would really pop. Keep it up man!

Great looking Bridgman studies! That said though, I don't know if it's a good thing to make them so line focused as opposed to form focused - trying to "construct" them from blocks rather than copying the lines as cleanly as possible could teach you the forms better. But whatever way you draw them, just make sure you're thinking about the forms. Also, try to sketch from your head too to see what you've learned.

About the portrait of Jack, the eyes look nicely rendered but the basic construction of the head is off. Start with lines and use some system like the one taught by Loomis to give you a good framework. I think the skin misses the darkest shadows too but of course you're still working on the shading.

    Keep them coming!

@ smuli - cheers bro! yea i do think alot about the shapes im putting down when im doing anatomy but i guess bridgman is pretty hard to transfer over as his drawings are not that tight in the books, but il keep pluggin away

with jack, i actually tried just painting it first in colour, no construction lines or anything, but that was pretty much a epic fail so put it to greyscale, i only put a a few hours into it so im pretty happy, i wont linger on it, i plan on atleast doing one of these a day if i have time from other uni work.
