First day of my new schedule. It's kind of stupid for me to start it today since tomorrow I'm going to be gone all day at a comic-con in Portland xD I'll have to get right back to it on sunday then. For now here is the study I worked on today. I started this awhile back but never finished it. Now I want to do one of these every week.

P.S. Yes I know his head is too tiny

Here's figures from today, I also started the loomis book figure drawing for all it's worth from the beginning. I read for about an hour before working on the figures below and only had time for one sketch from the book but next week I'll have more time to draw and less to read

Another day another study... or two... yeah.

I added more to my Hogarth study page and did some visual memory studies of hands and then on the right of that page did some from my imagination to apply all that I learned Tomorrow is my walk to Starbucks to sketch which I'm psyched about and then streaming later in the day

I didn't quite finish the female portrait I was supposed to do today. It was of Emma Stone and I just really wanted to get this dragon world painting finished I think I'm calling it finished unless I hear any really strong critique on it that I'd be able to change without messing it up ha. Also a finished commission for Alluria Publishing.

I've decided to start doing little journal entries on my blog that sort of summarize my day and I'll talk about things I've learned that day and stuff so if you're interested pop on by

So here is the portrait of Emma Stone I didn't finish yesterday and today's studies. I haven't done perspective in awhile so I just kind of did a little bit of a refresher to try and get myself back into it and added shading for funsies. Next week I'll start learning about 3 point perspective and how ridiculously hard it is. Finally, I did a landscape and took some notes which I've never done for landscapes and although they're fairly simple I did learn from them.

Great stuff! That last envoiro study you done. It says 'just because it's in water doesn't make it blue' .. Water itself is not blue. It appears blue too use because it reflects the sky. Light penetrates water though and shows what is in and beneath it. Keep up the hard work.

Thanks for letting me know that V3T I'll keep that in mind. I just wrote those notes to totally clear the common misconception that just because it's water it's blue from my mind.

Todays studies, almost done with that barbarian study, I'll for sure finish it tomorrow and start a new one possibly. Also, there's a screencap study even though I was supposed to do a still life and didn't realize till after I was done xD so I'll do a still life tomorrow. And finally a random alien thingy to get a feel for sci-fi-ish stuff.

Studies from today. A cop car done as a study for the Deathstroke piece, a figure from this morning, a portrait and me applying the portrait into what appears to me to be a man wearing a wig.
