well i am just as pleased as punch!! i have this one pen that is like a fine felt tip marker, and i did gestures on lined notebook paper- and it cleaned up perfectly in photoshop! i feel like a million bucks. you cant even tell they were done on crappy paper and the line is sooo clear. hooray!!

    Ivan Turcin
    - thank you

    Kfeeras
    - but of course! though my life stuff isnt nearly as pretty to show off yet heh

k an update- past few days, just been studying figures as per usual. been trying to draw a plastic skull i have on my desk over and over, struggling soo much with that. diagnosis: draw more shit on my desk! i reckon it's a depth perception problem and im not being careful enough about plotting where things go. blah blah blah

heres some sketches- currently studying how to find a figures center of gravity (any tips on this would be superb)

    - Thank you! I like doing my studies, it's sorta like playing a video game to me and trying to get the best gear to beat the next boss haha makes everything a lot less tedious. I should def take some pics of my cats, they're literally living charicatures lmao

    Psychotime- aww yeah B)

today was interesting art-wise. found Tom Richmond's blog- he does caricatures for MAD magazine. lots of tutorials on that there. also stuff about hands.

i drew a bunch of shapes on my sketchbook page then slapped features onto them. it made me giggle a bit seeing such crazy proportioned stuff when i'm so used to being meticulous with my art

okay, i have a confession. i suck at still lifes. (lives?) i mean really suck. my eyes go all crossy when i'm trying to measure and yeah bad times at still life high.

so of course this means i'll be switching gears a bit and spending 3000 hours drawing apples and water bottles and clothespins and turning them into spheres and cylinders and boxes and etc etc etc

moral of the story is don't only ever draw from photographs kiddies... gotta fine tune your 3-D seeing skills.

    hi guys. i can explain.

-i moved, literally got up and just moved out!
    -now i live near risd
-ive been figure drawing (FROM MODELS!) and going to the museum, sketching people whenever then
    -my computer died
    -i turned 21
-my computer came back to life

so i really dont have the attention span to update with every single thing ive done in like 2 months SO, heres my figure draws and some sketches from the museum.. if youre curious about whatever else ive been drawing you can always go to my ~blog~ at http://mokoudraws.blogspot.com

ANYWAY, here we go. any comments or crits or stuff is always welcomed.
