It's funny you know, I started with watercolours and I'm sloowwwlly trying to learn acrylics (But I always end up going back to my watercolours). Both mediums are great, but It's hard getting into acrylics when you're used to the polar-opposite medium xP
Master studies do sound fun too, old paintings of Napoleon keep catching my eyes so I might just try to tackle one at some point.
Haha, I did indeed have quite some time on my hands Yeh, when I started doing watercolours I was painting like I do with acrylics. Old habits die hard and all that

Nice work on the updates, though I didn't quite understand the comic. The non reffed stuff looks very good! Here's to a new year full of art!
    Insanity is the key!
Also, studies are a key. And passion is a key. Also, so are inspiration, motivation and dedication. Talent can be a key. Insomnia can also be a key, depression is a sad rusty little key. Damn, artists need one hell of a keyring.

cool i like all artworks in the last post

the last one shows that you can learn from your old drawing and try to develop it to
be more comfort with your style now

the artwork which is before the last one remember me the manga story called'' the wall flower''

this is the link of this manga http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ti9kbtfLxwc

Now that you've teased us with a comic, I want to see a COMIC!

And mind your panels, I can tell you're being a bit lazy with how straight they are.

Again I say I love your faces. Yummo!

    OH THE SHAME!
I can honestly say I'm feeling pretty guilty for not responding to you guys when you've been all so kind and thoughtfull. It's late and I've been travelling all day, so I can't respond to them all now, but I definently will tommorow + have a look through your sketchbooks.

Anyways. I don't have much with me, soon after my last update I went through a writing spree, then I panicked as I realized I hadn't done any homework/revision for my A LEVELS. Yes, quite the dilema.

All's fine now, and now that I'm back on track I'm hoping to keep back to my usual schedual.

I'm back! And it's time for me to finally do those replies. I also have an update too! based off a picture a friend of mine did of my character. YEAHHH

Footsteps beckon: Must. Draw. Napoleon. I'll have to quickly draw him for later.

    Kiwigarbage:
    1. Thank you so much! I've been having allot of fun playing with faces and characters.
    2. Oho! That was just a bit of a fool-around really. But I will attempt to do some serious comics sooner or later. Just need to find the time (and the patience)

Plissken: Ah, can't thank you enough for the on going support and advice. Sorry for not replying in so long! I need to repay the favour and give your sketchbook a lookthrough later.

Bethany K: Thank you! I'm hoping to get back to my usual productivity again. xD

Qlotzan: Thanks mate- I'll do my best, and Happy new year to you too!

    Equilerex:
1.Ahh, thanks for the crit, mate. I've noticed I've been having some problems with necks myself. Need to work on that.
    2. Thanks again! I'm glad my you feel my forms are getting better. I have a right time trying to get things like that looking okay.

Sineater: Thanks mate! Just need to keep trying to retain what I learn in my anatomy studies, I'll get there if I work hard at it.

Pervy: Aha, thanks mate. And you were close- it was a bit of my excersize book. xD

Cielocchi: Happy new year! -And thank you! I'll be sure to keep an eye on your stuff too, keep up the good work

OmertA: Och, thank you! And I'll try my best- happy new year to you too!

Aila: Thanks again! And don't worry, the comic was done in under ten minutes, just to try and get me used to the idea of doing comics.

Puffynose: You're interested about my writing?! Aha, Maybe one day- when it's fit to be seen by people other than my very understanding Gran, I'll post it up somewhere. xD I've got 85 pages running now, so who knows- I might start turning bits into comics, or something of the like.

Feathered face: Thanks mate! Though, I have to admit that picture was just something I saw flying round the internet. .. xD The stuff when I was younger was dire.

Nisshoku: You're alive! And thank you so much I'll do my best to keep up the progress for another seven months (atleast xD)

I think that's it, but if I've missed you then feel free to beat me up.

the sitting girl with glasses is real good! the guy on the bed not so much- the torso is off a lot- considering that hes sitting on a soft bed, leaning on the pillow? with his back, the back and stomack should be arched down not up - just like the quick sketch of it youre holding above! ^^

I came here to see your drawings and to chew bubble-gum.

And I am all out of gum.
So I guess that you pretty surprised me with your new postings, and
I was shocked when I saw that you posted a few drawings yesterday, and
I have missed those. My heart feels sad now, suffering like a watermelon put
in the fireplace. You are a true genius and pioneer with these latest drawings
you have shown, I am just blown away. I like that you are mixing in some
fine attractive ladies here and there, that just makes me feel so happy
after a long and morbidly sick day. And you cheered me up also with that
song that you have posted above, I had to stand up and be steady while it
    was playing.
With your consistency and hard desire to become better, you are cutting
down the trees of darkness which obstructs you from success, and
you are slaying a hundred evil dragons with only one pencil slash. I just keep
admiring to your spirit and determination.
    Please post more,
    please....

Kiwigarbage: My friend has an incredible talent for making everything hilarious. You should have seen the other things she drew me. xD

Equilerex: I kneeewwww his torso was off! I'll definently have to remember that for future refference, thanks for giving me the head's up mate

Plissken: I have to say I laughed when I read your comment, a few times even!
My good sir, you give me more praise than I feel I've earnt, but thank mate.
And don't you worry- for I've gotten back on the saddle and drawing more than I ought to again. xD

Edit: Quite aware the anatomy on BOTH pages is a bit buggered up, but both were done without refferences to check how much I'm learning. I'll definently do some anatomy studies tommorow during lunch and my free.

Reaaallly should be finishing an essay instead of drawing- but I can't get to sleep lately so I'll probably do /that/ at three in the morning and draw whilst I can.

Now, the one on the left on this is a self portrait without looking at myself. I'm actually surprised how accurate its came out.

Silwynar: Thank you! And trust me, I'll do my best to cram in as much drawing as I can.

    Yeah naidy!
    Looks really good so far!
I am in love with your first sketchbook double page
The girl looks great and the other "creature" good too.

For your aquarell i would suggest to just paint it on a bigger paper. It is too small for this medium i think

    Keep it up!

Hi, Naidy... I'll confess that I didn't go through your entire SB, but from what I saw on the first page and the last, you've improved incredibly over the past half a year.

    You seriously rock it, girl!

Silwynar: Thank you! And you're most likely right. I think I'm also a bit rusty at painting too. xD

Jouzinka: Oh, don't feel guilty about that at all. My sketchbook's too big to try and read through, it'd take ages (Really, don't force yourself. xD). It's a bit worrying how fast this sketchbook's been growing... but Anyways! Thank you, and I'm honestly flattered

Bethany: Oh, you saw that did you? xD I thought It would be an interesting thing to do, I can never see my own progress but I think I'm starting to get the hang of the basics of 'form'.

Klaus: Thanks mate! I've noticed you've been improving loads yourself.

Right, only a small update. I have a comic I'm working on too, but I'm so tetchy with things like that I might not upload it. xD

    Before I forget.
The painting below is just another example to how much I exagherate self-portraits
I matched it next to the refference so you can see what I fool I look IRL.

I just called my mother to my workstation to see your drawings
    and paintings. I said to her;
-hey mom, come see, there is a beautiful young girl posting some
    beautiful drawings on the net.
She said, it is unbelievable, she could not want to believe it, she
says that combination is impossible, beautiful girl and beautiful drawings.
And after she saw your work, she was in deep deep shock, I had to take
her out and throw her into a deep snow to refresh her. She was in a deep
shock, she said, after she came to herself that, she never saw something
    beautiful like this is.
You see, she really thinks that you have some heavenly drawings and
paintings, and she saw the beautiful photo of you, she is much more
happier, and I am happy cause you made my mother and me to feel so great.
    Thank you very much.
    Please post more wonderful drawings.

Oh Plissken, you had me laughing there. There's something refreshing about the way you put so much into each and everyone of your comments-I appreciate it, mate.
Thank you, and your Mum too.
