    Well, currently on my list:

    Cowboy Bebop-Adieu

    Cowboy Bebop-Black Coffee
    Cowboy Bebop-Call Me Call Me
    Cowboy Bebop-Is it real?
    Cowboy Bebop-Memory
    Cowboy Bebop-Musawe
    Cowboy Bebop-Mushroom Hunting
    Cowboy Bebop-Piano Solo
    Cowboy Bebop-Rain
    Cowboy Bebop-Space Lion
    Cowboy Bebop-What Planet is this?

    Cowboy Bebop- LIVE in Baghdad
    Cowboy Bebop- Papa Plastic
    Cowboy Bebop- No Reply
    Cowboy Bebop- Yo pumpkin head
    Cowboy Bebop- Blue

Now before you all judge me as a tastless person, realize that:
    a) Yoko Kanno(the compser) is a musical genuis, and the Seatbelts has poured an incredible amount of talent into these songs.
    b) These songs are all different styles of music.

And for the sake of it, ill list some other bands commonly found in my playlist:

    Lifehouse
    Coldplay
Genesis (the old 70's progressive stuff)
    The Allman Brothers Band
Yes (the old 70's progressive stuff)
    Duke Ellingtion
    Miles Davis
    Pax 217
    Switchfoot

Muttonhead - if you don't know who GYBE! are then you're missing out. (just one suggestion: don't listen to them if you're in severe depression and/or are suicidal)

not too long ago i downloaded a ton of GYBE! live stuff so that's waht i'm listening to right now: best one so far has been an improv track called "Albanian"

    1. Godspeed You! Black Emperor - Albanian
    2. Godspeed You! Black Emperor - Moya
    3. Godspeed You! Black Emperor - BBF3
    4. Godspeed You! Black Emperor - Gathering Storm
    5. Explosions in the Sky - Have You Passed Through This Night?
    6. Explosions in the Sky - Greet Death
    7. Explosions in the Sky - First Breath After Coma
    8. Explosions in the Sky - The Only Moment We Were Alone
    9. Stars of the Lid - Be Little with Me
    10. Low - Condescend
    11. Set Fire to Flames - steal compass
    12. Molasses - Insomnia
    13. Molasses - Saint Catherine (Idiot's Waltz)
    14. Polmo Polmo - Rottura
    15. Windy And Carl - Set Adrift
    16. Shalabi Effect - Mending Holes in a Wooden Heart
    17. Tanakh - Pharaoh's Lonely Daughter
    18. Philosophers Stone - Where Regets End (edit)
    19. Jessica Bailiff - Failing Yesterday
    20. City of Caterpillar - maybe they'll gnaw right through

EDIT: ooo, I forgot a good one: at 3+ minutes this is the shortest GYBE! song ever:

    21. Godspeed You! Black Emperor - George Bush Cut Up While Speaking

DaemonMagus, just because you haven't heard of them doesn't mean they're old... there are bands that aren't on MTV. and usually, they're much much better.

For me, I had a cousin who turned me onto punk music... and since it was before the internet, I just bought albums that i hoped would be good. Lots of good surprises. I started going to shows when i was 13 or so, usually they only cost like 5-10 bucks and they were a blast. Riding the metro into southeast DC at that age was nuts . I spent my teenage years spending almost all my time/money on music, and I met a lot of cool people this way.

Now that the internet is so prevalent, you have the ability to check out a lot of underground bands... look up some of the bands that people listed here, there's plenty of web presence for them. Download a song or two, then order the album if you like em. There's so much out there that doesn't get the attention it deserves.

Oh my god Olsen, I love you. Boards of Canada rocks my socks.

DaemonMagus: just download a program that gets free music (winmx, kazaa [I like winmx ] and dlownload the songs. Theres also a lot of great internet radio stations out there, and if you have winamp you can listen to them.

Digitally Imported - Good for trance, ambience, techno...

Skywarp - boasts some excellent techno/psy/trance, downloads are free

Dj Indigo - Great chillout/ambience music

All of those are free because I'm a cheap bastard.

    Here's some songs:

    1.) Xerxes Blessed
2.) Radio Head - Fake Plasti Trees
3.) Infected Mushroom - Mush Mushi
4.) Die Form - Bite of God
5.) Theatre of Tragedy - Seraphic Deviltry
6.) The Postal Service - This Place is a Prison
    7.) Wumpscut - Christ Fuck
    8.) Mythos - Destiny
    9.) Skywarp - HardtranceV3
    10.) Massive Attack - Angel
    11.) Mythos - Requiem
    12.) Dj Indigo - Ultraviolet
13.) VNV Nation - Dark Angel
14.) Boards of Canada - Julie and Candy
15.) Covenant - Wall of Sound
    16.) VNV Nation - Standing
17.) Theatre of Tragedy - City of Light
18.) Requiem for a Dream Soundtrack - Summer overture
19.) Hallucinogen - Live at DNA Lounge
    20.) VAST - Touched

Does anyone know what the " feat. " thing is? It's really common on song names, I just have no clue what it means.
