thank you for the comment! i think your sketchbook needs more attention that it already has! Good start tho! you might wanna consider using less soft brushes and using a lot more harder brushes for contrast. Keep it up, and dont forget your studies![]()
Parsakoira: Thank you and thank you for the tips.

Hey guys. My painting looks way to murky... i know i have to use harder brushes but im not sure where to start. Does anyone know a good place to look at tutorials or videos i can watch for free?
I wanted to finish this but the painting looks like shit. Especially for metal! Arg.

Qikalain: Thanks. How should i do that? Draw images from online of people?
Man. Im trying hard brushes with 100% opacity and i was using 25% Flow to paint and blend but it ends up like this...
hi man, thanks for stopping by my sketchbook! you have a cool style to your characters, very sharp edges, but it works well. i think you have some ways to go before your digital work catches up with your traditional work, but its good to see your working at it. for some good free tutorials, you might want to check out Feng Zhu's website : www.fengzhudesign.com . on his home page, there is a link to some really great video tutorials! -totally free too! check em out! and keep working!

NickyBeats: Thanks! Thank you for the website i will be all over it. Im about to start pumping out serious watercolor sessions. I have been inspired by Inoue Takehiko. Really i need to use photoshop more though... but theres just something about having the piece in my hand so i can rub it on my face and kiss it and sleep with it... sometimes i even put it in a plastic bag and shower with it.

have you seen the anime TEKKONKINCREET? your style reminds me alot of it, it would be cool to see you work these characters into some environments in that same style.
ps.. you dont want to shower with Vega... that wouldnt end well at all. hehe;

NickyBeats: Nope, never seen it. It looks pretty sweet... Reminds me of one of the Batman Gotham Knight episodes. Probably the same director. Also ill draw them in some environments tomorrow. And... yes... its horrible. My friend went to camp with Vega and the showers there were all connected and he dropped the soap and now he shits out of three holes instead of one, true story. Thanks again for that website.

Some decent stuff in here. I'm not very good at critiques. Maybe this is helpful. Some things to keep in mind.

Blankstate: Super helpful. Thank you. I always just dive right into it. I need to set it up a little more before i even think about rendering it.
Nice start to a sketchbook!
I like your character designs, but you need to work on your anatomy. Learning the structure of the human figure will help you push those designs to the next level and create some real eye-catchers.
Check out any book by Burne Hogarth. This is my particular favorite. http://lineweights.files.wordpress.c...how_image.jpeg
Auspiciouspanda: Thank you. I saw that book in borders... i was going to get it. Ill get it tomorrow.
