    Should explain it

The spots atop the community are for those who are in the community, active in an exemplary way, or selflessly supporting it (or will be again in the near future). This has always been the case. Marko has chosen to not support CA right now, as has been the case with him twice in the past five years. He is a force of nature and comes and goes from CA (and even my life) as he pleases. I accept that. CA accepts that. One thing that everyone who knows him knows is Marko does as he chooses and has good intentions. He is a true independent spirit.

As MADE shows, as his artwork shows, as his gallery shows, and personal life shows, he is doing excellent work and stepping into his strengths at a pace I have not seen before. I am more proud of him than any other who have participated here to date. I have watched and participated in his journey, his struggles, successes and he in mine, for a long time. Neither of us would be where we are without each others efforts. There is no denying that. I am thankful for that. That is why I wrote the forward to his book and why I wish him nothing but the best.

Many artists have come and gone from the community, including those from the main page, by their choice, request, or actions. Marko is always welcome here. I have been with him since his earliest involvement here and from the start of his professional career. Through relationships forged in CA and through CA, he has gone on to create big parts of his personal and professional success. Many here are no different, including me.

Marko has been a brother to me and a big help in this community. He has done so much volunteer work at the CA symposiums that I am still to this day thankful for his talents, giving nature, and sincere efforts. He has helped educate artists around the world on this site and inspired thousands after starting from nothing. His path has been organic and is now straight to the sky. In turn, Marko's hard work is a big reason MB got off the ground. Few if any did more work than he did for large stretches. He could pull the weight of four artists at other companies and still outdo their quality. He taught those I work with a ton. He taught me a ton. Trust me. I fucking love Marko. If Marko chooses to return to CA, his spot will be there for him.

I remember our conversation at a dingy bar in Amsterdam during the night we met for the first time, which he shockingly ordered us six more vodka to go with our re-filled beers. That comment stuck and became the name of his studio. When I was stuck on art, back in the day, Marko saved my hide. I heard that there was concern about MADE reaching enough people to be a success so I have paid it forward.

Personally, I care far too much for the people involved and attending to see this excellent MADE event struggle to get the word out. Word of mouth travels quickly but timing is very short for this and the assistance is needed and no doubt is appreciated.

Since CA members have been hungering for a European workshop since Prague, and many thought MADE was a CA event, it was obvious what the right thing to do was. CA has purposely chosen to help insure that it's members, who are the students this event seeks to help, hear that it is happening and have the opportunity to attend, learn from the best, and see strong success because of it.

There was one thread deleted which there was some confusion caused by the similarity to CA events. The other threads, placed in the CA symposium forums also were of a similar lack of clarity. The marketing and structure of the made event is very close to how CA might handle things and because of that people did not know what was what. That was clarified, then at two in the morning when I finished my own work I did what I could to help the situation.

I have done what I can to see MADE a success and neither I, nor CA is seeing any financial or personal gain whatsoever from doing so. CA and I have chosen to do support and promote this exclusive event as it is going to be excellent no doubt.

Sometimes, people, and I, listen to others, when we should listen to our hearts and with our own eyes. In time, the smoke always clears and the truth becomes known. I hope that none of these comments miscommunicate my own intentions. Because they may, I must have my actions speak for themselves.

With that said, this thread is for posting instructor artwork that are favorites. I posted one of my favorite pieces of Markos. I could have posted everyones as all the instructors works are well known to me and I have a number of favorites from each. There is nothing negative in that. There cannot be. Just because Marko wants to do his own thing right now, does not mean I do not love his works or remember all the good things we did together...or think he is doing an amazing job.

Raphael: For what is an artist in this world but a servant, a lackey for the rich and powerful? Before we even begin to work, to feed this craving of ours, we must find a patron, a rich man of affairs, or a merchant, or a prince or... a Pope. We must bow, fawn, kiss hands to be able to do the things we must do or die.
    [Raphael chuckles]
We are harlots always peddling beauty at the doorsteps of the mighty.

Michelangelo: If it comes to that, I won't be an artist.

Raphael: [Raphael scoffs at Michelangelo's remark] You'll always be an artist. You have no choice.

Yes, yes he is. He has made over 300 movies so far and counting, the reason why people love him so much is because he actually gives artistic demonstrations while shooting a porn film, he tends to balance his sketchbook on the womans back, gives him freedom of movement or something.
