advice needed for 1st exhibit

Hi.
I am having my 1st art exhibit ( more of an assessment really to determine whether I get a pass/merit or distinction) in college and have no idea what info should be placed next to my art works, or how to do it professionally. We are meant to get this info ourselves and I have spent hours on the net for answers, without gaining any further understanding.
Can anyone please help me in this area? I would be extremely grateful.

I moved this thread, to the Art Discussion board. Can you explain your situation a bit more ? I got confused a bit . Is your exhibition in college or do you have to search for a location ? The info next to your artwork is most probably the title and a little description of your work. You could also go to a museum or an actual exhibition and look how they presented their work.
