Anyone using a new 21UX with a 27" quad core iMac? Comments on performance?
Any issues with using it as an extended desktop? (Not mirroring?)
considering this setup...
Thanks.

I just got the new 21ux and I am using it with a new MacBook Pro 17" - haven't noticed any performance issues...
I do have trouble with the screen setup. Mirroring is not good since I have a different aspect ratio on the screens, so the Macbook screen is not full screen. But the extended desktop is worse. I would have to move the windows from screen to screen every time I use the compi without Cintiq and back with Cintiq again. Also, at the moment I am drawing on the Cintiq but the cursor is moving on the Macbook screen - which is damn weird. Bear in mind, I am new to Cintiqs AND Macs so I am mainly being both confused and amazed all the time. If I can't work it, it doesn't mean it can not be worked out.
How I would want it, would be to have a keyboard shortcut to choose EITHER Cintiq screen or the Macbook screen, not both at the same time. This can't be done for some weird-ass reason (or at least haven't found the way). Macs... Pffft!

Are you asking for a shortcut to toggle between screens on the Cintiq?
Hi there,
I had a similar thing with the mouse pointer showing on the imac monitor. This solved it for me. Go to system prefs and click on wacom tablet. Then click on calibrate. You should see a bar with the monitor name on it. Mine actually said Cintiq 21 ux, but oddly when I chose the imac screen, waited for it to change over, then changed back to the cintiq 21 ux, the system seemed to sort itself out. Obviously check your arrangement, ie drag the grey menu bar over to the cintiq. (Sorry to teach you to suck eggs, just trying to cover all bases.) All was fine then. One of the great technological mysteries.
Also, hope this helps, When I work with the cintiq connected to my macbook pro, I use a handy piece of freeware called DeJa Menu. This allows you to set up a key combination which will call up a menu window on the cintiq. It's not perfect but it does save an awful lot of tracking to the laptop screen.
Hope I've made some kind of sense and I hope it helps.
