My tiny compilation of DOOOOOM!!!! Muahahahaaaaa

    Hello,

I'm Quincy and I live in the Netherlands. This is my first painting ever, done with aquarell and im looking forward to improve my skills. I'm getting tips and tricks from my friend Marlisa who's really helpfull. I will try to make more black-white paintings because i'm not into coloring yet. I'm in the royal navy and drawing is just a hobby of mine, however i'd really like to improve my overall skill in being creative. I joined conceptart in awe because of the great talents that are here and i'm getting inspired all the time. Please feel free to critize my works and in some way - enjoy my works

This is my first and also oldest picture (4 years old?) that survived my wrath of cleansing my room. It is a depiction of the villain in a certain movie called Enemy at the Gates. In this picture i focused on how to draw the shading in the clothing and in the face. I didn't use other kind of pencil but HB i believe back then.

This picture I eraseda many many times. It started as a whole figure, then i was not satisfied and decided to draw a portrait. then i made a whole lot of corrections until this came out. i was proud by the result but didn't dare to finish it. This drawing is the first time i focused on hair details and i really like how the knot came out. Also the light in the face pleases me, although after reviewing this it looks like the eyes are to close to each other

This one I drew after visiting Berlin. It's a statue of the Treptower park monument. I really like the angle and composition and also the expression of the face.

This is the last of the pictures i regard as really old. I made them during highschool. After highschool i didn't draw really much, and joining the navy prevented me from drawing as well. Last year i decided to pick drawing up again and try diffirent techniques and also not to lose my skills I already gained.

These pictures I drew exploiting the smudge technique, but after some tips I rejected it. So these are my only smudged pictured..

    Hey Quincy!

Hah, I'm very happy to see you finally made a sketchbook and scanned al those drawings you've made .
I'm not sure if someone's going to say something about your multiple posts. I think you'd better post as much as possible in the same post, because... I don't know why actually. I think only because it's easier to overview everything.

I like the feeling for contrasts in your drawings, especially in the cross in your latest post, and in the statue. Really nice job !
And the painting is really great too, and you only painted it in 2,5 hours . That's really fast for someone who's never painted before.

I'm looking forward to see more stuff!

    Groetjes! Marlisa
