    My Own Little Art Junkyard

I am a 16 year old high school student and I love to draw...and love to hate what I draw. I have been intimidated for years by the many talented people here and have hesitated to post on the site. I also don't have a digital drawing pad, which also has made me hesitant too...I draw on paper

Anyways...please take a look and I know it isn't the best, but I would love to hear opinions feed back...what ever floats your boat I guess All of these works are from 2009. I will be updating it again soon with some current 2010 stuff...

    Yes...I can draw "normal" things

    Update :)

Just have some free time sketches from early 2010-January and February I think.

I've been trying to resize these for hours now but they still seem to be...unnecessarily and obnoxiously large. Oh well.

Now I can start on a new drawing pad and make some updates later on. Thanks to all for checking out my Junkyard

    Update :)

Had some fun with charcoal and some colored pencil scribble

I had fun with this...we covered the 1920's in history class a while back so I had cigarettes and "bobs" on my mind.

So here is the final product-I scrapped detail for blending...

And her is the first version with photoshop-just darkened a bit....Updates later...Bye!

Oh wow that was a lot to look at.

Sup? I'm Hoshi, also a 16 year old high school student.

First of all, you can't go about hating what you do, you need a positive mindset to improve well. You have to look at every drawing as learning experience, after you finish something, look at it and figure out what you did well and what could be improved on.

One thing I think you could work on is more consistent lighting. As it stands now, I can't really say that I can point out specific light sources. You also in some of the older work have/had some anatomy and proportion issues, so studying up a bit on anatomy may be a good idea as well.

I really dig your creature designs, that's some pretty inventive stuff right there.
    was I left behind?
Someone tell me, tell me I survived.
Don't look so surprised that I'm home, but just for tonight.
With rough hands and sore eyes
so don't speak, I am tired.
Let's just live through this lie.
