    Adjust overlay layer

    Hi, guys!
I have a layer that is in overlay mode. I want to paint some places of this layer.
I'd like to have some sort of adjustment layer, as shown in the pic. Don't want to paint on the overlaying layer directly. If i will use second layer in overlay mode too, they become interfere.
How this can be done in Painter?
    Thanks!

you can use masks, but not clipping layers in painter.
on the fourth day of glitchmas my painter™ gave to me
four random crashes, three broken brushes, two system hangups & one corrupted workspace
