I watched AND read all posts here. I can see THE PROGRESS. But U really are all 'bout crits, aint U..?
    Kay then.
9th & 10th are my favourit. Like the style. I think maybe You could try with theese, just make some people in this style, some chars made like them. I would really like to see that..! Seen Gustav Klimt's art..? Know what I mean..? Just use Your new anatomic skillz & post some chars in the "Unuist God of Death" style.

    May be veeery interstin'...
Seen mine sketches..? Just look here: .:locked'lines:.

    K, three things:
    • Work on your anatomy more
    • How the hell did you change your user name from "Soul Child" to "Black:neon:Chaos"? -- or was that an act of Admin?
    • Post more

I like your ideas and you clearly have an active and fertile imagination, I think some of your best pieces in the thread so far are the looser more heavily shaded pictures, they show depth of character and have a three dimensional presence on the page which is no bad thing.

As for CC anatomy has already been flagged but I would venture a tentative look at line flow, you tend to have a curiously angular style which is cool but some characters would benefit from a slightly softer flow to their form making them appear more organic and in turn less constructed.

It's definitely cool work I like it a lot, gonna go see if I can do something just as creative, or shall I go eat the bannana cake? Hmmm....

Less talk-ie more draw-ie! I don't care if you are half starved, suffering from an overdose, locked in a closet, beaten with a bag of oranges, and then sent head first down a water slide into a pool of Jell-O; I NEED MY FIX! DRAW!!!!

Okay, no posts in WAY too long. I demand you draw! Actually, I am really just asking. PLEASE! It is good for the soul and some people even are good enough at it that they make money. But you will never get that far if you DON'T DRAW! So, for the sake of the cheese, DRAW! Now that I am done embarrasing myself, adeu.

great stuff man. i love the one of the armchair. good values there. my advice? maybe slow down and be a little more calculating with your hatching. remember, the flow of a line will denote form, so work out what form the image needs before going gun-ho and giving it what-for, you get me? hah. you should post the results of your field-day (get it..? field-day... as in you painted a field? yes? maybe? no? ok! )

really nice looking stuff in here - like the general direction in which you drawing is going, great feeling for form in some of of these! Try to be a bit more aggressive with the markers, and don't afraid to go darker!

    ciao!

    Hey bud!

Wow lots of work but , yeah try to get rid of the anime/american comic style thingy, i dont like big eyes haha, but yeah thats a personal thing of my own, so dont give adamn bout me if you still wanna develope a style based on a great anime artist! Page 5 and the very last one is awsome! keep those up, and do some "proper" face studies Keep it up!

Hey, welcome to our sketchgroup Madcat!! My opinion would be that your style is fine but try not to get caught up in a style at this moment in time just learn as much as you can your style whether its an anime type style will eventually shine through your hard work and determination. Good start here i would work on strucutre but you have alot of good stuff here. And you could not have been more correct me getting more hardcore rendering in my sketchbook. I'm glad to have you apart of your sketchbook.

Gonna agree with people on the "don't get caught up in style now"-thing.. Just keep drawing and studying and your own style will develop through that... I'm not saying you should stop using ref, though Just don't gor for "anime" or "naturalistic" or whatever.. I'm probably not making much sense now... bit tired

    Keep 'em coming!

Welcome to the ssg Madcat, glad to have you aboard, I'm really seeing some strides keep up the anatomy studies, and also draw from artist that you like, I would agree with the others who are saying don't get caught up with a specific style. But I would say if thats what you love, then try to push it into something of your own, really think what you like about anime. There have been a lot of solid feedback here in your sb. Hope your learning man, Can't wait for your next update. Welcome sir.

Derram You gotta grow into it, noone got good by complaining and feeling sorry for themselves man. just draw draw draw draw, if you still haven't improved by the time your 18 then i'll let you complain lol.
as for the anime, i had a massive obsession with hyung tae kims stuff, I love anime and i don't care who knows!RAWR

dCepT I'll try not to worry to much about it. thanks for the tip.
still ahven't got the pk pics.. tutut, i keep forgetting to do it.. i'm wanting to learn to back flip. i watch loads of tutorials, but i haven't got a spotter, nor can i get one, or go to a gyum since theres non of them either, is it possible to learn on your own?.

Darktwin haha, style is being left alone guys lol. thanks for the welcome. heres the update! some hogarth studies for ya.

Sigh, its a sad thing when your own Nan tells you 'the sooner you get all this art stuff outta your head the better' and 'all this drawings doing you no good'
well instead of getting pissed about it anymore i just ask her not to make me shout at her lol. actually i find when someone does that, i wanna work harder and prove them wrong. DON'T LET ANYONE STAND IN YOUR WAY, NOT EVEN YOUR FRAIL OLD GRANDMA!

    now for pics.
