Just curious as to what format acceptance letters will be givin ( pretty sure its email..) correct me if im wrong.and...

1) will we be informed if we arent accepted ?

2) do we get comments from the artists who reviewed our work?

I just received my acceptance in an e-mail; there weren't any kinds of comments on my specific portfolio. So, there's one question answered.

I just got my acceptance letter, but I believe you may here if you don't get accepted as well; I'm not sure. There were no comments on the portfolio from anyone, just the acceptance and advertising the 50% off of Discovery. Best of luck to you.

Oh watch out, the letter may be in your bulk folder so be on the look out. That's where mine was and I almost missed it.

Me too!!!! but there is not specified the location, I want to believe I was accepted into the place I desire.

But I´m confused, what I have to do now? run for a visa? Damn! What if the embassy doesn´t grant me the visa?
I don´t even know where I was accepted or if I must attend on-line.

If I get a tourist visa how many times I will need to pay an airplane!!! I´m very excited!! but very confused.

i would imagine they have to get everyone accepted before they can portion out scholarships and TAD spots.

Can't really afford POD option mate, just going to rock up to the 6 weeks of workshops every year and try the whole online option.

I got accepted too, but I have to say the letter is not clear. I can tell everybody's letter is the same cause the whole thing didn't even mention my name. I applied for scholarship, not sure if I got it. Not sure if I got into the program I wanted. It says 50% discount on admission, does that mean scholarship or something else?

I am confused.

The acceptance mail is probably an automatic message, i can only immagine that a second mail concerning Scholarships or the POD spots is yet to be sent, and it is probably going to take more time as it differs from each student..

I've got the message about the 50% discount also. However I feel I still have further information to get. I believe this 50% discount isn't all about the scholarship they were giving. Maybe is something else or just a regular discount provided for most TAD's applicants. What do you guys think?

Anyway, I'm going to send them an e-mail in order to get this straight.

Same here, I applied for scholarship, not sure if I got it. And no information about POD, even if i want to pay the 50% discouted, how can i pay if i have no further info? Will they send another email before march 15?

-The 50% discount was about the option to pay the entire tuition (all $22,500) before march 15th. They realize that very few people have the option to come up with this much money. It does not affect the scholarship opportunities.

-Marco was correct. The email was a generic email and notified us of our acceptance. A further email regarding scholarships should be sent out later, probably 1-2 weeks.

-The information regarding POD acceptance will also come at a later date.

- I know everyone is excited to hear the full results of their acceptance, but as Sterling said, They are inundated with applications and it will take some time to evaluate everything.

"TAD is at SXSW tomorrow helping kick off the entire event. SXSW is the largest interactive, music, and film festival on earth with about one million people coming through. We are also in the arcade. What this means is TAD is doing just as planned. Scholarships are announced on the 15th of March. They are going out now. Please understand that we are giving each student the time their portfolio needs to choose the award winners. Three more full rides were chosen yesterday. The TAD founders are meeting in Austin this weekend to complete the process together in person. TAD faculty are also present. Please be patient as we follow the process. We will notify all students in the order received. We can say this much. The competition is fierce! The art world will move from this group, even if we locked up sign-ups today. We could not be happier with the submissions. It is going to be a great group.
And due to the story of Mindcandyman, which happened before our eyes on ConceptArt.Org, there are artists to be, who have been trapped in other jobs and would do anything for a shot to learn, who are also with us. A google search for "Journey of an absolute rookie" will show you why we will help even the beginners (this message is not directed to the original thread here, but touches on a reason why it makes us very humble and proud to do this). We are very much looking forward to completing the process of admissions and scholarships.
