    Robertthem's sketchbook

Hey there! I'm Mateus and recently I've been taking this drawing thing really serious. But since I don't have any teacher I'm going to post some of my studies and sketches here so you guys can give me some tips.

Right now I'm just trying to get the shape and form of the main muscle groups, I'll get into more detail once I think I nailed it.

Looks like your are doing an excellent job. It's a great idea to separate muscle groups like you are, so that you have a good understanding of their relative positions with one another in different poses. You've got good lines. You are doing a great job translating the forms, and your proportions are looking good as well. I'd say you are off to a great start! I don't really see anything in particular to crit on, so keep it up and keep posting!

Nice studies. I'm going to try and do what you did and separate the muscles. Might aid me a lot. Great work on your sketches btw...you seem to have very nice line quality and an understanding of shapes cant wait to see more
