CHARGED - My Third year short film

    Hey Guys,

Finally got around to making an account! Very excited to start working on my personal stuff and getting crits from everyone

I attended Algonquin College in Ottawa and our 3rd year is dedicated to make our own short film. I teamed up with two very talented people, Trent Correy- trentanimation.blogspot.com and Mayrhosby Yeoshen- mayyeo.com.
Everything was traditionally animated, then scanned into Toon Boom Harmony for Paint and Composite.
    Enjoy!

Veerrry nice. Love and concept and the execution. Simple, but it works.

I absolutely love this. It looks professionally done.
Why is it called "Charged" though?

This is an awesome short film. I guess hard work and suffering pays off in the end.
I'm in my first year at sheridan, we're going to have to do this in our third year too. I was just wondering, how long did it take guys to complete this?

We figured since he was in an electronic world the name would be fitting.

It took about a year. The summer before our 3rd year we were nailing down the story as much as we could. Then it was a semester of Pre-Production and then another semester for all the Animation and composting. I had a blast doing it.

Pro animation... I liked the few scenes with the focus shift. I think the opening scene (and a few others) could have had more layers to add slightly more depth to the scenes but I guess that is fairly trivial compared to the character animation. Nice job.

    Congrats

The only reason I attended college was to learn traditional animation! However, everyone down here is completely obsessed with 3D. Anyways, looks like you landed most of the 12 principles down pretty good. It reminded me a lot of some of pixars stuff. Like Monsters Inc. or something.
