I've enjoyed looking through your SB. The brick on page 1 was really good, I'd like to see some more traditionally painted stuff from you. Love the rainbow people on page 6 and the way you use colour. Pencil stuff is also excellent - nice lizards, but your human proportions, which I know you're aware of, needs more work.

heeh the paper sucks :p with your lizards try to show dimensions, you have this flat black all across your lizzard work with it more so it shoes the round form of the lizards body and so on.

lizards and things are looking ultra-sweet, man, keep up the great work.

on a side note, i notice in your people, usually their left eye (right side of the page) is up a little higher than the right eye, like, they're slightly unleveled. just something to pay attention to. can't wait to see more great stuf dude; peace!

    Keigo- Cheers!
    Metalfingers- uhm WHAT?

Alright well I was going to wait to post up my life drawings and these and sketchbook stuff all at once but it'll be a while until I get to the scanner, biking lots of miles in 90+ degree weather doesn't sound too fun at the moment, especially when the folks have air conditioning. Posting up some color studies from life, I know the edges are fucked on a lot of places but I definitely feel like I'm getting a little better at at least observing color from life. Last but not least, a little collabo between me and defiledvisions, oh the sillyness.

haha, oh the sillyness indeed. Amongst those studies my favorite is the one with the strawberries, you really captured their deep redness.

Can't really think of any crit, perhaps try to make them blend more with the white background. Take some creative freedom and add depth and atmosphere that isn't there.
    Anyhoooow, kickassss!

cool SB you have here going on, but I'd suggest you to put more effort or attention to drawing from imagination, otherwise studies are not paying themselves off. When drawing from head you discover your mistakes and stuff you have to restudy.

DecoyOctopus-Thanks man, hope this links helped! btw, is your handle from metal gear?
NickyBeats- Thanks mang! Glad you found meh, haha.
Defiledvisions- Yea agreed, I was more concerned on just getting hte colors though, next time I don't think I'll work on a white background, you've got those sexy negative space textures.
Heix33- Thanks man, although a good suggestion and it should be implemented. I have to disagree and say the opposite, I've been dicking around doing imagination stuff for waaayyy to long and not enough studies to implement the learning. Cheers.
Quick update, got a better photo of the acrylic painting, i think it shows a bit more, worked a little more on the dragoon knight too. Cheers fellers.

Crystal Knight of Dragonian Fortitude! planning on working him even more? he looks like he could shatter soon! I'm gonna paint a 'dragon armor shatterer' muaha

I'm digging the acrylic piece. Some things I wanna point fingers at, mainly the soap. It seems to stand out too much, almost floating above the brick. Could be because of the lighting when photographing, could also be early stages of the painting.

It would be cool to get a look at it from afar.

Im liking the acrylic painting, thats some sweet stuff. to me the lid of the bottle looks a little off, and i agree with DefiledVisions the soap does appear to float above the brick, but then again there are some weird shaped soaps.

yea rudy does play D like a girl but S#*% he's got hops and style! just hoping Roy can stay fit for the whole season

Those lizards are amazing. Great designs and also very nice page layouts!
I really like the textures you got in that acrylic painting with the brick. Make sure to watch out for stuff like the ellipse of the lid of that bottle or that curved planebreak towards the top (although i get the feeling that might be intentional).
