Kezhi-Thanks! The sculptures are just painted with the good 'ol brush and acrylics.
JeremyG- Thank you and agreed on the life drawings. actually I thnk I need to just put up moar stuff!
Here is a quick doodle before bed still dicking around with REALLY simple forms, saw Daves thrash thoughts on DA and was inspired to do a goofy character. Inebriated drawing can be so relaxing. As always thanks for looking and cheers!

Rotor- Thanks man! Cool to hear you frequent some of the other forums I've posted those sculpts on. And word on the cloaked figures, I think I want to do some real large drawings, more refined and planned out.
Well, dicked around on this one a little more, really not learning anything doing this stuff so its on to something more helpful. Thanks for looking and goooooooooo blazers.

    Zerdron-Thanks, yea he's a bit silly.
Here are a few of the knee pages I did, 2 figs without ref that wern't so bad I don't want to show 'em and some life drawings from this morning. The intro to painting teacher let me sit in the back of the room and draw the model in my SB, he's a swell guy. For some reason my crop tool is all screwed up, it just erases the whole image when I hit enter and I think the photobucket one screwed up all my lines. ARGHHHH.

When I looked at those Bridgman studies all I could think was "Now that's how it's done". They look stellar by the way...

Your figurines are so badass...I love how gritty and raw yet colourful they are...excellent work...

One suggestion though...you've got to draw figures from life more often!

Best wishes to you! Keep up the hard work!

Your drawings of figures are a bit jumbled. When looking at one of your figure drawings, you'll see a head... and it looks okay... you'll see a leg, and it looks reasonable. But look at the whole figure, and the forms don't relate... theres nothing holding the figure together.

When you draw the side of a ribcage, draw the other side at the same time.

When you draw a head, draw it the same way. Arm? Draw both. Eyes? Draw both. And always try to relate what you've drawn to what you're about to draw.

This is done through many techniques. One of the techniques is coincident lines. You simply run a line through a body part and see what OTHER parts it runs through. This can line things up on verticals, horizontals... and on angled lines. Try it. You need something to tie your figures together and relate all the parts.

    Good Bridgman work.

Dude I've been looking for a blazer fan for the longest time on CA! About freakin time. Love your work and your observational paintings. Your really good with textures and and surfaces. I agree with P Sage on your anatomy but I see improvement from where you started from. Props to you man and all your hard work. Don't stop drawing.

    Peetaer-Thanks!
KingKostas-Thanks for stopping by man and thanks!
p sage-Thanks for the crit man, its really appreciated. I'll keep that in mind when I'm drawing now, I've always felt my figurers were kind of disjointed. Cheers.
cubesoflard-thanks for stopping by, we've got the 8th spot right now 4 games of memphis, gooooooo blaaaaaaazers.
Alamo C:Thanks for stopping by thanks for the suggestions, cheers.
AustenFM- Thanks! The smallest of the sculpts, the guy with two swords was about 58mm and the others are much larger, between 150-175mm.
Well I've been uploading lots of studies and figured I'd keep those just in the book for now as I absorb p sages lovely crit, and start scanning in stuff from imagination. As always, thanks for looking and comments and crits are always appreciated. The hulk was reffed from a comic illustration on google and so was the asian looking girl. Cheers.

Dope sketches man, especially dig the one coming after the centaur-guy. Watch out with the legs though, many of them seem bulky (as you wrote). I'd say the one you think has too long legs is the one with the best legs proportioned to the rest of the body.
Ofc.this depends on which look you're after. I prefer the supermodel lowerbody-upperbody ratio

Cool stuff, everythings looks very well designed and sketched. The only thing i noticed and could crit on are that the legs on some of ure characters look a little bit short, but that could also be a part of ure own visual style.

I especially like the clock demon characters, you should take them further with some paint etc!

    Damn.

You exemplify everything a sketchbook should be. You're improving incredibly quickly, and you're learning from your studies in a way that very few people manage to do in that amount of time.

That's the way to do it man. Do your studies, but don't just copy - understand, and then try it on your own. You've got it down - and look at you go. I'm very excited to see where this all goes.

I'd like to see you take some of those characters into photoshop and throw some paint on them, but I'm also not about to mess with the flow you've got going now. It's working.

Thanks for stopping by my book. Cheers to you.
