Contest :: The Experiment Gone Wrong. Great Prizes!
This is a medium sized contest based on creating a single Digital Painting [or illustrated strip].
The theme is "The Experiment Gone Wrong."
"The Experiment" - Doesn't have to be a scientific experiment, could be two kids seeing if they can contain water in a sand castle dam.
"Gone Wrong." - Doesn't have to be wrong in a completely negative way, could mean 'unexpected' or 'beyond what was hypothesized'.
It is a very broad subject as you can see and a large variety of work can be done with it.
There are six winning slots for this contest,
- First place: Art Squared book and a one year subscription to Deviant Art. Warm Gun Beta and Pre Order! And an exclusive piece of Warm Gun concept art.
- Second place: Art Squared book and a 6 month subscription to Deviant Art. Warm Gun Beta and Pre Order!
- Third place: Art Squared book and a 3 month subscription to Deviant Art. Warm Gun Beta and Pre Order!
- Fourth place: 3 months subscription to Deviant Art.
- Fifth and Sixths places: 1 month subscription to Deviant Art.
The total prizes added together are worth over 350$.
Rules are fairly loose, all you need to do is save a few steps of your painting so we know it is yours and submit it as a thread here. If you keep up an active WIP thread here you will have an easier chance of winning the third place award, which is based more on process rather then finished work.
The deadline for submission is March 20th.
