Hi everyone!
I think,i missed a goal with first two posts
but i'm on the way to impove my behaviors
So,my name is Andreas Kippes,i am soldier in duty at german bundeswehr,
and i like to draw
currently i'm on practical work placement in normal life,its an requirement for posterior study on Muenster University of Applied Sciencies,i aiming BA in Design with main points at Illustration and Media Design.This placement(3 months are required) ends up within this week.
Yes,in about one year i'm done with my 8 years obligation at armyso
this spring i 'll make qualifying examination at Munster,so i'm drawing like mad now.Required is a small folder/portfolio to exact theme,but theme will be given mid-march,so there is a lot of time to draw some poopskillz improving
i said lotta time?hmm,currently at placement im working 8 hours a day,and have acess to www,i'm sunned about some guys/girls at CA ,like Janos,Alex,Jana,Hannesan dother, just kicking ass Art-dudes ,so i taked my balls together and start to draw continual.
next week i'm on duty on 9 hours or more,so i spend rest of a day on drawing.my wife stands often with da dagger and forcing me to go in bed there's never enough time,but I'm tryin'.
im hiding my SB on work and draw at every free minute

Wie gut bist du? Alter ich wusste nicht dass du so gut bist. Deine Figuren sind sehr dynamisch und Proportionen meist richtig. ICH WILL AUCH. Sag mal ehrlich wie du auf das Level gekommen bist? Ich muss figürlich noch einiges aufholen scheint mir. Alter Falter.
Und dann auch noch so ne fette Ladung neuer Sachen. Respekt!
Schade dass es bei mir mit Mänster wohl nicht klappt wegen dem Praktikum, wünsch dir aber sehr viel Glück und halt mich da auf dem Laufenden. Lass uns einander weiter pushen, vielleicht werden wir dann eines Tages die neuen Wunderkinder CAs wie Jana und Algenpfleger.... :lol:

@Jasper_:Hey,thanks,pal,it's hard to force myself to go on table and draw,there's lotta nice thingz 2 do:modern warfare 2 gambling,tv-ing,www, and so on,if u able to kick all of that stuff away,then there is maybe enough time between 10 hourz on duty and 6 hourz of sleep to draw some stuff, i do my best,letz see

So I'm back on duty now,lotta things to do,uniform,bad weather,everything is fine!wuhahahai have my drawing bag always by me,and in every free minute i try to draw,draw,draw.komrades looking over the schoulders and givin me always peace of advise like:more tits,why is she doesnt naked,is this a man or..,or r u gay,as always,this hard but honest mitiltary humori missed it somehow during my work placement,this crazy dudes hopefully my big boss dont catch me up while i'm drawing,wuhahahaha
in about 10 days i'll get theme for my examenation potrfolio,i'm getting slowly a bit nervous.but,truly i think,it will be most interesting work of my life.
this Portfolio must be presented in the middle of may,if commision satisfied with it,next day you must participate second examination,and then it's over.
At time i'm full on pencilling only my stuffs,u maybe question yourself,why not coloring or use some digital,answer is pretty simple,stuff for portfolio must be analogue,so on this way.i'm practicing a bit:

i 'm truly fascinated by the world of Degenesis(thank u Marko!),
so after reading books i wanted to create some illustrations for it,but never have a time,but now i'm on it:

Spitalier Scout:dude,who's always going forward and checks da situation,
so gived him some solid armour and big lamp
he say something like"Now you'll go there,novice!"

Wow, what a great start to a new member sketchbook!

You have some great gestures and ideas going on in your work. With your digital paintings I think you should try for some more blocky/hard edges, at the moment they can be a bit soft and some of the detail is getting lost. But keep posting, love your stuff

Duuuuuuuuude! love your style...beautiful figure studies, awesome captions and your conceptual stuff is original and in some cases very informal and amusing. i love the drug lady picture. keep it up!

Duuuuude, lovely lines and proportions, and thanks for stopping by my SB. On the digi stuff, really try and lay down some hard edged confident strokes to block in the forms, then you can go back and soften the structure as you progress, a little more saturation couldn't hurt either. Keep rockin it dude.

Awesome stuff here. I love your figure sketches. Beautiful line quality.

As for your digi stuff, really pay attention to the skin tone, especially the Brad Pitt one. The yellowish skin tone makes him look like he has jaundice. Pink is usually used to indicate the natural warmth of skin. (Don't use too much though, or your digi-people will look like they're sunburned!) Also, if you add in accent colors that really aren't there in real-life, they can give off a different feel and mood and may even muddle up your colors.

Hey man, cool updates! If you don't mind scanning more of your Typography work I'd really like to see it. Cool stuff.

Also, for a crit, I say pay attention to the size of your characters heads on some of your larger works. I don't see it often, but sometimes their heads look pretty huge. Other than that you're still lookin' good!
