teapo Thanks man. In the end it just comes down to practice. But hey, your kicking my ass when it comes to stuff from imagination. I need to practice that more...

    ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I will update my sketchbok at the end of the week again.
School keeps me busy lately, but most my exams are over at the end of the week, so sorry for the lack of updates!

So many pages in 3 years. I found your environments really great. Gonna look around your thread a bit more and see what's there.

Hello mate!! Your drawings are very strong, this skill will help you improve faster.Keep up improving your values. Decide whats in light and whats in shadow, these light and shadow areas should be distinct. The shapes you are doing are very good, maybe you need to introduce some soft edges, soft brushstrokes.
    Keep up the good work

Great progress. Agreed with Kingkostas above though, great advice. Also, some of your compositions have a lot going on with lots of shapes of equal size/importance which makes it hard to know where to look. Looking forward to seeing more of your stuff, keep it up!

MadGrav Thanks! They are actually not that great but I keep working on it.

kingkostas Thank you kingkostas. Great to see you around. Right now I actually want to tackle my painting from imagination point. That's were I suck most, haha. I reaaaaaaaaaally need to train that and it's good to hear that my drawing foundations are going to help me there.

Veshkau Thanks! I'll try to keep that in mind with my next paintings.

    ------------------------------

I know, it's been a while but high school is sucking more time than I would have thought of and I am also helping out on this site, which is really fun.
But I'll need to keep at it, so here's a tiny update before I try to update daily again.

    Thanks for commenting!

Being busy, but still trying to do daily drawings and studies.
    Focusing on my figures lately because I enjoy it sooooo much ;_;

The last character is from imagination, inspired by Marko Djurdjevic's Character DVD.
Beside of that I also started my first bargue drawing.

I like your environments, nice style.
They give me a clean, relaxing feeling while looking at them.

Figures need a bit more work, but I think you know this already.

BlackDelphin Thanks! Yeah, I am working on my figures when I have free time and don't know what to study. They aren't my main focus, but I'll keep at it! :>

    ------------------------------

    Silly environment sketch from today.
Did it while chatting to a friend, so there's no huge idea or concept behind it. But I STILL learned a lot. Like using the smudge tool, blur effects, ... It's going to get handy in future stuff.

Yay! The site is finally back up.
I missed it a lot the last few days. I went into a state of mind where I am constantly thinking about the stuff sorrounding me.
Thinkin about what's wrong and what's right, what I need and what I don't need.

Jason suggested me to read the books by "Hermann Hesse", a german writer. I started with the book called "Demian" and it's a very interesting read so far. I feel with the protagonist "Sinclar"'s emotions, even though they may look weird at the first look.

Anyways, messed around with another character. I need to get myself into a better daily routine again but thoughts keep distracting me lately. Need to fix that and then I'm back on the train. Choo choo.

ahh the site is acting all weird and not loading XD But nice updates, what kind of character is she? I feel her pose is very arbitrary and doesn't tell me much about her! ysy boobies! Reading is good yeah, was listening to a video Feng Zhu posted on visual library and he was saying he feels books are basically like cheating to him. Because when he reads images will just appear in his head and I think he is right. I did some reading today and its fun all the images that start showing up in my mind from nothing! I need a much larger visual library

Took me a little to realize that you changed your nick from Silwynar. It
was a year or so since I was here, that’s what happens when you do a masterful
disguise. You could definitely fool me. Going through the last pages, I see that
you’ve became much better with digital painting, and you especially excel in
environments. Way to go my man. And I just learnt a new effect, I should try
    it sometimes;

"For the effect: Duplicate your image and then go into the layer options of the duplicated layer.
There you disable the red channel and you're already nearly done. Now you only need to
move the duplicated a few pixels left or right and the effect appears.
You can adjust how strong it is by adjusting the difference between the position of the two layers.
It's pretty much self explaining once you did it. "

Back to your environment paintings, they are really good I like how you handle values,
especially on this one above in the post #756, the Pulsating Heart, fantastic job. And not to
talk about this one in #768, the greenish landscape, it’s my favorite for sure. Earlier you had
problems with proportions and now you are fixing that hole in the game also. I don’t know
what to say, it’s good that you didn’t stopped posting and that your motivational power
brought you up to this level. I got a slight feeling that you will improve even more and that
there will not be any force that can stop you. Raise your sword and shield high now.

PS. I don’t have a twitter account, but when I’ll create, I will follow for sure.
