    you can also use a plug in for sketchup called booltools, but its not the most stable and you run the risk of losing your work.

    Sweet tutorial! I don't have Sketchup Pro, but this is still an interesting way to think of altering objects.

    Pro version isn't needed - a free version will do. It has components and intersections features.

    Richard, thanks for tutorial. The funny thing is that I knew about this "sculpting" method, but never thought of using it for results you did show
