    -snake legend-

    hi, my 1st post here

this came from an ancient chinese myth, which is also a classic novel.
its about 2 snakedemons who arent relli evil at all.
they took form as human maidens n the L:ady Whitesnake
fell in love with a scholar. then there was a powerful monk who is filled to his head with righteousness n bullcrap n he wants to destroy those 2 snakedemons.
enter the Greensnake who tries to seduce the monk.
the story goes somthing along this line...
anyway, tis is my version. as u can see, its abit different frm the actual legend.
    hope u guys like it
    c&C pls~

    welcome

    It's a very nice piece

the only crit I have is that the Monk's neck- I'm not sure what that tendon is called-looks overpronounced..If it's supposed to be a piece of his jewlery..I think the color is way to close to his skintone....anyway just my opinion...good work

wow.. i feel horrible even trying to crit this piece.. but before i do, just know that i love it.

the monk's torso seems exceptionally long.. in order for his right knee to be bent at that angle, his waist would have to be right at the green snake's butt.. a bit hard to explain, but hopefully you get the idea..

that is, however, just picking it apart. this is a really amazing piece. i love that the white snake is almost catfish looking.

There's actually a pretty good kung fu film based on that legend that I've been meaning to see.

As for this, the only thing that really bugs me aside from what people have already mentioned is the woman's face on the tongue of the snake...she looks a bit goofy, particularly her mouth. Maybe her head could work better if her mouth was more snakelike, and "smiling" a little like the massive snake-head she's coming out of.

    Other than that, great job.

I tend to think in that day and age... they didn't have breast implants. I'm not criticizing the size, just the shape. Her right one in particular.

The sun is fighting with the snakes eyes. I don't think it's necessary and is making the piece a little busier than it needs to be.

Other than that, I like it, and I've added it to my wallpaper collection.

It looks really cool. I have to say I like the giant snake the best. The monk seems alittle stiff. But you know, that's just me.
